Wood Single Chaise Lounge is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for price Purchased this as a test to see if I would use a chaise
Date published: 2018-05-30
Rated 2 out of 5 by from low quality What you don't see in the advertised photo is that the wood is cheap with a thin layer of paint. The wooden trays on the side are difficult to pull out because the wood is not smooth. Numerous spots on the chairs (we bought two) were chipped when I unpacked them. We covered them up with a tarp at beginning of rainy season. Since the sun was shining for days, I recently took off the tarp only to find out that on many slats the paint had come off in a fine grain. I cleaned the chairs with the rough end of a sponge which took off even more paint. But at least they are now not staining the cushions when I lay them on top. The reason I gave these lounge chairs a two star rating rather than one is because when I researched lounge chairs I found it hard to find cheap quality chairs. So, unless you want to spend $1000 each, these will do.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stain Runs and Ruins Your Patio We bought the expresso color in the summer and almost everything about it is great. You have the leave the wheels very loose or they will tighten all the way when you roll the chair--Not great engineering there. Then the winter came. In California that means rain. We were shocked to see the stain from the chair streaked down the chair onto our concrete patio! Stains where the chair was. Horrible quality! Beware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Just put it together - haven't used them yet. Using the wood screws to put it together is not a good design bc the wood is soft and wood strips out easily. We used adhesive to help secure legs to chairs. Hopefully this will help. Loved the chairs...just hope they last like the other reviews indicated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this chaise I wanted to buy wood furniture for my pool deck. I searched everywhere online and in store for inexpensive, but good quality furniture. I stumbled upon Improvements Catalog when I did an online search for Eucalyptus outdoor furniture. I decided to first purchase the wood chaise as my husband and I felt it would get the most use. I purchased only one, first, to see what the quality of wood and ease of putting it together. We were very impressed. It arrived nicely packaged and was a breeze to put together. It took us about 15 minutes to assemble. It smells like real wood and looks great. I am pleased with the wood chaise and will buy another one very soon. I purchased the chaise cushion to go along with the wood chaise. I love this chaise and find myself sitting outside poolside more often. I don't know how it will weather due to only owning it for a few weeks, but I do intend to pull it under my covered patio during heavy rain and when out of season. The chaise is not very heavy and I can easily move it to a different spot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke second summer Bought 2 in May 2015 for husband as gift. Looked great, functioned well, loved the side pull out table and got lots of compliments. Stored outdoors but covered over winter. Second summer, 1 lounger' s table wouldn't slide and then in August 2016 that same lounger snapped!! The support pieces are connected with mini dowels and the wood is not durable. Invest in a metal lounger that will last for over a decade. Looks nice, but has no substance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disapointed The lounges were ordered for an event that we were planning. I love the lounges, its unfortunate that not one but both items came completely marred by gouges and scratches not just confined to one side but both sides on BOTH chairs. Such a disappointment. We made a decision to keep them and use touch up paint to cover the white gouges and scratches that were visible. If a guarantee can be made that the product would arrive perfect, I would definite recommend, but cant say that since BOTH were marred. disappointed buyer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chase Lounger and Cushions This lounger is certainly made well. Your packaging for delivery is superior to most packages I receive. Thanks for all your attention to detail. I was able to assemble everything with the instruction and the small tool enclosed with the parts. You seem to think of everything. I am enjoying the lounger and the really nice cushions and will do so for several years. Thanks for this fine product. J. Baker

Leg direction

From the video I can tell the legs have been redesigned for additional stability. One side is flat and the other is slightly diagonal. For the legs with the wheels it is clear that the flat side should face the outside because of the notch. However for the front legs, the flat side faces the outside in the photograph but the inside in the video. Which is correct for the most stability? This might be included in future instructions.
