Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me twice now My first set of alarms alerted to me to my hot water heater leaking in my attic (yes it's in the attic, we don't have basements down South). It saved me from costly damage by alerting me, before the leak got worse. Another alarm alerted me to a leaking toilet valve in an upstairs toilet that was dripping on to the floor. It would've leaked down to the first floor ceiling below. The second set I got I put under my upstairs sinks. One alerted me to a leak under one of my sinks and allowed me to catch it and fix it before any damage. This would've leaked down into my ceiling in my kitchen, catching it saved me the money and mess of having my ceiling damaged. I love these things and recommend them to everyone. They saved me a lot of costly repairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my bacon This is the second set of water leak alarms I've ordered (the first set has reached its expiration date so I'm replacing them). The first set saved me a ton of money in repairs. My hot water heater is in my attic. One morning I got up and heard the siren coming from somewhere above me. I went into my attic and my hot water heater was leaking heavily into the drain pan, approaching the top (the drain PVC pipe was finding it hard to keep up). I immediately shut off the water and had my hot water heater replaced. I can't tell you how much damage it would've done if it had overflowed to my ceiling above my second floor. These alarms saved my bacon. I did only give the Quality 4 stars, not because the original devices failed me, but in the new set I ordered (I ordered two sets of three) one of them didn't work, the other 5 did. Maybe a bad battery in that one, but none the less, I love them for what they already saved me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Char I have them in place, but so far I haven't had a leak to know how they work. They have to be better than no alarm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of Mind We have our water heater and air conditioner handler located in a hallway closet. Unfortunately, when we’ve had either one of those leak or burst, we do not find out until the leak is way out of control and has inundated the two closets that are adjacent to it. When we received the units, we tried each one as instructed in the package and they all reacted as advertised blaring out a loud high pitched noise when the units touched the water. Although we have not had another leak yet, I have a better peace of mind knowing that these alarms will warn us the next time before the leak becomes a flood. However, I am not not able to give any recommendations until I actually have another leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved the day! These alarms have already saved us from another mess due to a water leak under a sink. They are soooo worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple cheap and easy to use I have one under a large (120 gal.) Aquarium that sits over hardwood floors. It saved my butt when the filter underneath started to leak! I also have some under a kitchen and upstairs sink. One more by the water heater. They are easy to test and use. They are cheap and inexpensive to replace. I am buying more because my upstairs A/C units started leaking through the floor to downstairs ceiling when the condensation drain pipe clogged. Had I had one there before, it would've saved me a repaint job. The drip almost costs me ALOT of money. EVERY multilevel house should have these!
