Wall Mounted Infrared Patio Heater with Remote is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works great when it works I really enjoyed this heater for about 4 months. 3 heat settings are really nice and I did use them all until 'medium' and 'high' quit working. I called the service number in the manual and got someone who barely spoke english and tried to sell me some 'card' and would not connect me with a service person. I sent an email to the designated address and the response was to thank me for my business and that my request was very 'weird'. The manual says 'do not return to place of purchase'. So now I have a broken heater that 'works great when it works'.

Are there two wires?

In 2 of the 3 photos, it appears that there is a smaller second wire running from the heater. If this it true, what is that wire for?
Asked by: Cube
That is a pull cord for manual on/off, low, medium, and high heat.

You say it heats you directly and not the room, does that mean on an open patio it won't heat any area around where it is mounted?

Asked by: Lindalouski
Hello Lindalouski, Thank you for your inquiry. That’s the nature of infrared, so you don’t use excess energy heating air. Just like indoor heaters, the more closed-off the space is, the more quickly you will feel the heat. In my opinion it will not heat an open patio. If you need any additional assistance, please contact us at 800-642-2112. IMPS PS

Coverage area

If mounted on a wall, how large a coverage area will this unit heat? Does it stay on until it is turned of, or does it shut off automatically if it reaches a certain temp?
Asked by: Jungle
Thank you for your question. The unit will heat you directly and not the room as it is infrared radiant heat. It does not have an auto off, you will need to turn it off when not in use.

How many amps max?

How many amps (max) does it draw at highest wattage setting (1500 W)? and can I wire two in series for a 20 amp circuit?
Asked by: mudra
Thank you for your question. The Wall Mounted Infrared Patio Heater with Remote draws 1500watts( less than 15amps). If the electric outlet is rated 30 amps, it can drive 2 units.
