Georgian Fluted Urn is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not effective for outdoor use While these are very nice urns (we bought six in various shapes), they are very lightweight and will blow over easily with a tall plant in it (such as the 48" topiary). They're about good for two falls and then the tops crack and break off. I tried filling the with pea gravel and while it helps, it makes many of the designs very top heavy and when they fall, they really break. Great for indoors or with very low profile plants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look heavy but are light I purchased these for the topiary I purchased from you. They look like they are heavy stone but they are not. I am able to pick them up and move them easily. They enhanced the topiary and add texture to the space

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Urn does not accommodate 72" topiary I purchased two of the 72" Cedar Pine Artificial Topiaries from Improvements one month and then these urns to hold them the following month to place on my outdoor covered patio/pergola. The write-up says that the urns hold the 7" and 8" diameter topiaries with the included rings and the 9" without the use of a ring. The 72" topiary says the diameter is 9" so it should have fit in the urn according to the overview. However, when I tried to put the topiaries into the urn, they did not go all the way down. The pot on the topiary sits about two inches above the opening to the urn making the topiary wobbly and not setting down flush into the urn. The slightest wind knocked the topiary and urn right over. I called Improvements and they said that there was a defect in the pots on the topiaries ("the wrong pot was put on them") and they would send me two new topiaries which they did but those also did not fit down into the urn. So now I have four items to return! The urns are also packaged in styrofoam which is impossible to get out of the box unless you cut the box apart or break the styrofoam into pieces while in the box and it breaks into a million pieces and makes a terrible mess. While the pot is pretty and the 72" topiary is pretty life-like, they DO NOT fit together. Improvements needs to change their write up to reflect this. I've opted to keep the topiaries (but still have to ship 2 of the 4 back) and return the two urns. Now I am on the hunt to find something else to put the topiaries in!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY Color flaked off within the first month, by the following season the material crumbled and turned to mush. I don't even know how that is possible. Very expensive and not built to endure the outdoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient accompanying piece I ordered these to accompany two cedar topiaries; perfect fit; nice look; but one of the two urns arrived with a chip in it on the rim. Too much trouble to return, so I just turned that side towards the wall. Packing material was extremely tight within the box, a bit thin, and removal was a bit difficult, without causing styrofoam to break up into little pieces that very quickly became airborne and stuck everywhere, but otherwise, once removed from the box, very beautiful finishing touch to the lovely trees. Definitely completes the look. Also have a nice weight to them, so a good balance at the bottom is achieved. Liked the metal interior rim feature, too. Good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Urn arrived with a chip on the base. There is not a drainage hole so pot fills up with water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Want to order more... I ordered two of these urns in the bronze color. The look, feel, and color are great...they look so nice on our back patio. I would like to order more, along with topiaries, for the other sides of our house. I'll just need to wait for a good sale! :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Finish is brittle They are pretty and look nice on the porch. They were cheaper than concrete. I had to put rocks in the bottom to keep them from blowing over in the wind. Three of the four came damaged with chips out of the finish. I spray painted them instead of going through the hassle of returning them. Every time they blew over they chipped again and had to be repaired again. The finish is quite brittle and if you're not careful you get some kind of splinter in your fingers from handling the chipped areas.

How can I keep this urn from filling up with rainwater? Thank you

Asked by: Marymargaret
Thank you for your question. These unfortunately are not made with a predrilled hole. Draining may have to occur by allowing the water to run off by tipping the urn. This has been addressed for any new design and developments in the assortment for the future.
