Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brown Sugar Keepers - Rooster Version I have had a Brown Sugar Bear for years. It is a fantastic little item that keeps my brown sugar nice and moist. I set myself a reminder once a month to soak the little bear and reinsert him into my brown sugar. I wanted to get a few more for other staples - raisins, currants, etc. These aren't bears, but hey... the price was right, and they will do exactly the same thing. I bought extras to use as small Christmas gifts, along with a recipe for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. It will be a sweet treat, with the Rooster living on past the holidays, keeping brown sugar ready to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for hard to find Brown Sugar Discs I have been searching locally for brown sugar discs to no avail. Your discs look just like the ones I have purchase from gourmet kitchen/cooking stores and work just as well.. all at a fraction of the price I have paid for them at the gourmet kitchen/cooking stores. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These things are amazing! I was skeptical at first but these disks work really well. I tend to have dried out brown sugar and the same happens with the dried fruits that I eat. I could not believe the difference. Even the brown sugar was already hard and it softened up the entire container. I am a now a believer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had my doubts; but, was totally shocked as I saw the results of this product. I couldn't imagine these little discs could soften a two pound solid brick chunk of brown sugar. I placed one disc in with my "brick" and throughout the day kept checking on the container. First check, getting soft, second check brown sugar is becoming as fresh as the first day I opened the bag. I will not have to use my hard brown sugar with liquids to melt it. Just love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yeah soft sugar Nothing more frustrating than finding your newly opened bag of brown sugar has hardened already! These disks do the trick for keeping it soft for your next use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works instantly What a great little fix for hard brown sugar. As soon as I got it, I soaked it and put it in my jar of brown sugar. Checked it an hour later and the sugar had softened. Great idea.

How long will the discs last before you have to resoak them?

I used these terra cotta discs and after some days I checked my sugar and it was harder than if I hadn't used them? What am I doing wrong? Do I need to resoak them more often?
