Self-Adhesive Energy Window Film is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product only provides privacy during daylight I'm going to call and try to return this product. I bought it for a large window that is high up in bedroom and 1/2 moon shaped (not an easy window to work with). I wanted something that would let the light in but provide privacy. The privacy works well during the day but as soon as night falls, it doesn't work - this should be mentioned in the description. Also, it's not the easiest to install. Even when using the scraper, we ended up with wrinkles and bubbles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I thought I was searching for something to cover a bathroom window and wasn't a fan of the traditional window clings. This product was promoted as turning the window into a "one-way mirror" effect which I thought would work perfectly. First of all the instructions on the box are very vague and not complete. There is a second set inside, but you have to search to find them. I didn't find them until I was throwing everything away. I tried applying the cling four different ways, since I didn't have the full instructions, and you could still see right through the window. It was just like looking through sunglasses. There was no mirror effect about it. I was very disappointed to have spent so much on something that ended up in the trash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Film works well - easy to install This was very easy for me to do as a solo project. First, make sure your windows are very clean. I windexed them 2 times before installing. Second, measure the window and trim the film about 1 inch larger than the window demension to make it easier to work with when installing. I used plain water starting from top to bottom of the window using a spray bottle. Probably more than others would, but I was instlalling this in the height of summer in Arizona. I positioned the top left corner first and sprayed downward as needed using the squegee to smooth it out. With only an inch or so extra I was able to smooth out to the edge and trim it very neatly & easily. It's been up for 2 weeks and has dramatically cut down the heat into that bedroom from the afternoon sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from follow instructions and all will go well for self-adhesive window film never presume that you can apply this film without first reading the instructions carefully. I am very pleased with the results and having a second person to assist is extremely helpful... The added privacy and heat reduction from the glaring setting sun is great. Thank you for a fine product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No privacy In no way does this product provide privacy either day or night; it just darkens view to inside and to outside. It may have value in reducing solar rays, but could not get air bubbles out, so it looked unfinished.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Read before applying Used instructions on box-measure, spritz window with water spray bottle, apply, trim and smooth out any trapped air. After window one, instructions that were stuck in the cardboard tube fell out. Turned out there is a peel off side and you should use a little dish soap. Tried it that way with the next wiindow-dish soap bubbles wouldn't come out, got too slippery. Plain water was better. Peeling off the backing creased it and wrinkles ruined that sheet. Turned out window one looked better so went back to that method. From outside in daylight and could not tell the difference between. Does block view in daylight but not at night with lights on inside.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mixed review The product looked nice but was a little bent when I took it out out the shipping tube. It was very simple to apply, but can have bubbles that need to be worked out from underneath, and one portion came off within 2 days, when reapplied it came off again. Not happy about that and haven't gotten that resolved yet. It was sort of challenging to get it trimmed to the right dimensions. It slid easily and was difficult to hold in place while cutting. Overall I thought it was a bit expensive for what I got, but I would be OK with the price if it stayed on better.
