Retractable Hose Reel is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handiest set up ever! I purchased this about 4-5 years ago and found it to be the best! It was mounted in our garage where I have used it for planting, washing the car, cleaning the deck all with great ease because the hose follows me and when I am finished working, I give a small tug and the hose is rolled up...neatly and no extra weight or dragging around for me. This hose I purchased for outside of the horsebarn, horses can be bathed and the hose is easily and neatly rolled away. We all love using it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for casual use We bought this hose reel mostly for the hose length as well as the retractable feature. The size of the hose caused us to lose a decent amount of water pressure compared to our larger previous hose. After mounting with the recommended hardware, it fell off of the wall, so we had to double up the hardware. Since, the arm seems to not fully support the weight of the reel so it is now not hanging level, but leaning downward. We are thinking of returning it. We use our hose to the full length frequently so we were hoping for more durability. This may be better for someone that uses it less frequently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great time saver! I have bought many useful items from this catalog but this one is the one that I am most thankful for. I love it so much that I bought three for my home. It saves me time since the hose retracts easily. The best part is that it's easy on my back. I just wish it was green so it would blend in with the bushes in my front yard. But that's just a cosmetic thing. No big deal. It's still a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this hose reel I have had this hose reel for 2 months now. I did not give it 5 stars because I have not had it that long and I am waiting to see how it holds up with all of the elements and with unreeling and reeling the hose up. So far it is great. It is a little pricey so I am careful about taking care of it. I purchased an inexpensive car tire cover for ours. The Texas sun is brutal, so i am hoping it will keep the entire reel from sun damage. So far so good. My husband installed on the brick of our house. It is so nice not to have to lug and wind up a heavy hose. This one just retracts so easily. ! I will probably buy another one after I have had this one about 6 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Automatic hose reel I have only had the reel for 3 weeks. It seems very sturdy. The instructions were good. The only problem is that it is heavy and I needed help putting it up on the wall., So far we are very pleased. It reels-up nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hose So far this is a very durable and well crafted 100' retractable hose and i haven't had any issues with it. I also have a Stanley and it doesn't work as smoothly as this one does and my neighbor had purchased a Stanley as well and hers has messed up and will not wind back up so I'm going through a process to get hers replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, So good! This is a very nice retractable hose. We have only had it a few weeks and love it. Time will tell if it holds up to normal wear and tear, but excellent so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retractable Hose Reel This hose is amazing. We have it attached to our house right outside of our screened in lanai. It is so easy to spray the floor and furniture off as needed. I love how it swivels to the right or left. You can pull out the amount of hose you need and stop it at any point. The best part is it rewinds itself with a little tug of the hose. They might be a little pricey but they are worth every penny.

does this come with the hose??

Asked by: susu76
Yes, this particular hose comes with 100 feet of hose and it also guides it back on straight and neat for you when it is retracting.

Does it operate well at a high psi?

Our spigot/at the house water pressure is 60 I think. will the hose hold up to that kind of initial pressure from the water flowing thru?
Asked by: lailalee
Yes, I have city water so I have plenty of water pressure and with the right spray head it will reach up to 15 feet.

It leaks from inside. How do I get inside to fix it?
Asked by: 12345larry
What i have found out on a Stanley Hose reel is that there is a glass cylinder that connects the two halves together with rubber seals and it is non repairable. Make sure in the winter months to disconnect the hose from the water supply and remove the spray nozzle to keep the glass cylinder from freezing and bursting.

Can I attach a watering wand/extender to this?

This is a straight thin metal wand, usually with different spray settings.
Asked by: lailalee
Yes , but i have noticed that this kind of spray nozzle is a little heavy so just lay it on top of the hose reel.

how to install to solid concrete block wall

The instructions and hardware do not make sense to me. There is not a traditional expandable anchor with screw. Instead it is a sleeve. So, according to instructions need to drill a hole then I am I to tap/pound the bolt and "anchor" sleeve into the wall (with bolt head buried in the wall). Then attach bracket securing with nut to now exposed bolt threads. When done it would seem to me that I could just pull the whole unit out of the wall.

What is the size of the hose diameter?

Asked by: Papoo
When the hose (rubber inner part itself) does not contain water, its width is tiny. I saw when mine burst that the inner part (not the crinkly outer fabric jacket) was barely 1/8".
