Providence Magazine End Table is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color of the wood not the same as it appears in the ad and no indication that major assembly is required. First of all, this is a sturdy piece of furniture that has many desirable features. However, the cherry wood color in your online ad appears to be much darker than the actual color . The piece I received is a light cherry wood, not a dark cherry and is not acceptable because my livimg room furniture consists of a redwood burl coffee table, a dark mahogany entertainment center and a walnut armoir. In addition to the color problem, there is no indication in the online ad that MAJOR assembly is required. It took my handyman and a friend 1-1/2 hours to assemble. I have no doubt that as an octogenarian, it would take me at least twice as long to assemble! I intend to return the piece and order a walnut one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice table It took a little while to build but it's really a very nice table. The labeling of all the pieces, instructions and the packaging of the parts was fantastic. The problems with construction were as follows: there were to be 8 screws for the back of the table. Only received 3. There were holes in the back of the table to show where the screws went, but it was necessary to drill a pilot hole in order screw the back on properly. Diagram and the instructions for installing the magnetic door clasp were not clear and a little hard to understand. The holes for the door handle were a little off and required drilling a slightly bigger hole in order to get the screws to line up with the handle. The worktop stop screw was not the proper size. The screw was smaller than the size of the nut it was to be screwed into. I'm not a totally inept carpenter and was able to correct whatever problems that occurred. It did take a little extra time and I needed to find some small screws for the back and a screw for the stop, plus I did need a drill and a few bits. The table appears very solid and I found the construction unique. I'd recommend it very highly, but it does require more than a phillips and slot screwdriver to construct.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful thing ONCE assembled After spending two hours trying to figure out why the box "D" didn't line up with holes in STEP 6, I went back to STEP 4. If you mark the sides "C" & "B" with a small piece of tape where the hex socket holes are located (just above where the farthest cam locks are), then when you install the box "D" the socket screws will line up. For me, that required replacing the magazine racks for the proper orientation upside down (STEP2). Its a beautiful piece, once properly assembled. But, some work should be done on the instructions!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking piece I was impressed with this end table as soon as I took it out of the packaging. Love the ability to choose which side to put the magazine racks on and which way for the door to open. Very versatile. Minor issues with the installation of the magnet (screws too short) and the stop pin (threads would not tighten enough to hold it in place). Customer service has sent out new pieces to correct these two items. Don't hesitate to purchase the Providence Magazine End Table!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice Very nice - I am using for an end table in my TV room. The side pockets hold the remotes and magazines and like the pull out to sit my coffee on. Sturdy and good quality. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I hoped it would be. We are confined for space in our family room which means all paper items whether mail, catalogs or newspapers are placed upon the coffee table and it begins to look like a junk heap but this table has eliminated the problem. My husband put it together fairly quickly although he had a problem placing some hardware and I should add that my husband is handy. The color is okay it could have been a shade darker. Overall a five star solution. The table has lot's of compartments that help me to be better organized. I love it.

I am a single woman and had no problem assembling it by myself. Thanks Improvements for the beautiful, durable, and fashionable table.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good storage spaces The table was missing a couple of pre drilled holes.. Several parts were missing. Other then the frustraration of putting it together with out the necessary screw and pin to hold top drawer in so it wouldn't fall out when one opens the drawer it's a nice end table. Thank goodness I have a 82 year old husband that is very handy and has a wood shop full of supplies.

Is the color of "white" end table truly white or is it more of a cream color?

How can I get a better idea as to the type of "white" this end table is going to be when ordered in "white". Is it more of an antique white or is it truly white?
Asked by: colorneeded
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. This is a true white not an off white. If you need any additional assistance, please contact us at 800-642-2112. IMPS PS
