Outdoor Curtain Rod with 2 Posts-White is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from The quality of the material is poor When I received the stand, my expectation was that it would withstand a wet environment. My stand was enclosed within a screen room, but in spite of this, within a week or less, the stand started to rust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality item Good directions made this easy to assemble. It's sturdy and looks very nice with the Sunbrella grommet curtains. At its smallest, it takes 4 of the Sunbrella sections to look right, with the curtains draping properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice- Some issues We ordered the set and then this extension piece. The appearance is quite nice. I would suggest you bolt these down to the cement. The winds in Alabama can be quite bad! We did bolt our first piece down and the winds took the pole right off the base and because they are aluminum they can not be taken to a welder. So I ordere this again. In the meantime my sister used gutter pieces to bolt the old pole to the side of the house! And, I want to mention that when we took the pole pieces apart there was all this dark crud on the pole. We also noticed that the top ball on all three poles are loosing their finish and moving the curtains on the rods is causing the paint to chip off. We will probably repaint next year. I must mention that we truly overall like them because of the privacy we now have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful privacy These curtain rods are a beautiful addition around my deck with hot tub. I purchased them for the privacy. The base is nice and heavy for stability. Easy assembly. With light sheer curtains, they are very stable in high winds. However, when I added heavier curtains, one did blow over in heavy winds, so I had to secure them to the deck railing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and Easy Been exploring the idea of trying to make my own shade retreat, to no avail. These self-standing curtain rods are the answer. Nice looking and easy to put together. I put rocks on the bases to make them more stable in the wind. Otherwise, they are the perfect solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Self Standing Curtain Rod!! We purchased this item to make a privacy barrier inside our home when we have extra guests. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outdoor Free-Standing Curtain Rods It took us forever to finally find this solution to our specific needs. We ordered two free-standing curtain rod units, giving us multiple options for our yard. We can use them on the patio or the deck - together or separately to provide screening from glaring sun and heat. We're thrilled! We're actually able to enjoy our deck and yard without the glare or heat of the sun! The units were delivered without damage, have a nice finish that I expect will last for years, and have stands heavy enough that they won't blow over in the wind. Very satisfied and looking forward to our best summer yet! Thanks!

can the top bar be cut?

I see the dimensions are 8-10 ft however the area I need to block is about 5-6 ft wide so can I cut the top bar and set the two poles at a shorter width?
Asked by: MelissaM
It may not be recommended but, YES, it can easily be done! My husband just cut one side of ours down to 62", using his jigsaw, so we could have privacy around our small hot tub. Took him about 3 minutes. Looks great! (He cut both inserts to even lengths.)

I would like to add a rod in the front to make an outdoor shower enclosure. Is this possible?
