Lowell 3-Step Folding Stool is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Step Ladder I bought this step ladder for a closet that is not finished yet, so I haven't had a chance to actually use the ladder. But the ladder is handsome; it is only 2" deep when it's folded, which is ideal; and if felt sturdy and the steps were roomy when I tried the ladder. My one constructive criticism is that the ladder is quite heavy. My husband pointed out, though, that when I get to the point that it is too heavy to heft to the other side of the closet, I shouldn't be going up on a ladder, anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very handsome for a step stool! I bought the "walnut" finished step stool for my home library and it looks great in there... far better than any of the metal ones I've used previously. I'd been concerned about how sturdy this ladder would be, but it's very stable and doesn't wobble at all. I feel very secure on its deep steps and the flat (handle) bar at top is more comfortable to lean on that the round poles used on metal versions. This step stool has metal where it counts, bracing the backs of each step, but it's painted the same color as the wood and not noticeable. Excellent wood finish, too! It's weight is just right: Any heavier and it would be difficult to lift. Any lighter and I feel it would not be as safe. The price is great for this level of quality. Packed well, it arrived undamaged. I did tighten a couple of the screws on it (as advised in the instructions packed with it) before using, and I would advise anyone else to do so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not White, but Cream Just for all with a bright white kitchen like my own, this step stool is NOT white, but cream. Took some consideration to decide to keep it. It seems to be well-constructed and is certainly more attractive than most, if you need a step ladder resident in a room. Our only other problem was with labels stuck to the ladder frame, itself. As I recall, one was paper-like and the other clear plastic with printing; NEITHER would come off without considerable struggle and some paint loss.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful addition to our library I've been looking for a really nice wooden stepladder for our library/den and had given up until I saw this one. We got the cherry version, and it's really beautiful. Only drawback is that it's very heavy, so moving it takes some effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality step stool I bought this for my new walk-in closet. It is very good quality, and good looking. I like that it folds flat so when not in use it can be folded up and moved out of the way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks lovely, but questioning the sturdiness Upon using this the first time, I heard a click while on the top step. One of the wooden pegs that runs down the sides had popped out of the track. I immediately stepped down and the peg went back into the track, but not as tightly as the other side. This item is too heavy to return, but I assure you I won’t be using the top step in the future.
