Insulated Curtain Liner - 56" is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Easy to install on pinch pleat drape. There are many loops in the loop fringe to locate each drape hanger. I was able to overlap two panels on this one-piece patio door drape, so no need to sew them together. The initial washing and drying removed all the packaging wrinkles. The metal rings were easy to remove as I did not need them. The material feels durable and soft, but not too heavy to work with during installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Window Liner Possible I bought Four Liners for my Front Room windows. I live on the ground floor of my apartment facing North. Where i live we have the old metal windows & when the wind is out of the North it can be felt even though i currently have drapes up. Since i attached the liners to the grommet drapes, i have most definitely noticed a huge difference. The liners were hands down a excellent investment. I would recommend the liners to anyone. The ladies at Home Improvements have them up in there work area, so that was a great recommendation in itself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed after only a few months I purchased 3 of the insulated curtain liners in January 2013, but didn't hang them up until March. The 3 are used to cover a picture window and 2 windows that are on either side of the picture window. I took the liners down in April to change the sheer curtains that I had hanging in front of them. When I hung them back up, I noticed sunlight coming through the center of one of the liners. Upon close inspection, I found two vertical slits. I expect better quality for a $25 item. I placed white tape over the slit on the white side of the liner and black tape on the opposite side--real tacky but being on a retirement budget I can't afford to just throw it out. Now I just hope the slits don't continue running or that additional slits don't occur. Beware if you buy them. As info, other Improvements products have been satisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! Theses blackout curtains does what it says it does. I loved that all we had to do was hang it behind the curtains that we already had and can use it with other style curtains in the future if we need to change the curtains that we have. I used these in our baby's room to darken the room more during her naps when it's super sunny outside. Great Quality! Worth buying!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Liners are Great1 I was in a quandary regarding my drapes. May favorites were too light and unlined for winter. In looking at new drapes, I couldn't find anything I liked as well. Then I noticed Improvements had a liner. I ordered one, just to It worked perfectly. I sewed it in right under the tabs, and with a couple of pins here and there, they hang very nicely. I lined two doubles and two triples and am very pleased. Price is right, too!

need insulated liner for patio door 63x77 drape is pinch pleated

Asked by: wildfran
This 56" liner may be fine for a 63" patio door drape. Measure between the first and last pinch pleat, which will be the actual length used. If there is a control cord, you may want to use one pleat away from this. The actual liner width may be closer to 56" taking all this into account.

Blackout capability of the curtains - yes or no?

Hello - The product description states in several places that the curtains will block out the sun's glare, etc. yet in an answer here it says that they are only for insulation, not blocking light. Which is correct? I need these for room darkening and don't want to purchase if they do not serve that purpose. Please clarify. Thank you!
Asked by: okilloran
This panel can block direct sunlight and does reduce room temperature.

Are these washable and are they soft enough to use with tie-backs?

I would like to use these with traditional colonial tie-back curtains that can be closed at night. Are these soft, like material, or stiff like plastic? And how are they cleaned?
Asked by: JerseyJudy
The material is soft and feels similar to microfiber. I machined washed them in cold water in a delicate setting and in the dryer at low heat setting. This also removed the packaging wrinkles.

What size (diameter) are the rings that make this work with a grommet-top curtain?

Since rod diameter varies a lot, I need to know how large the grommet rings are on the liners so that they will slide easily along my rods. Thanks you!
Asked by: Olliesmom
The inner diameter of the ring is about 1-1/2" and an aged brass color.

Do you have an R-value rating on these curtain liners?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. Since the Curtain Liners are not permanently fixed in place as a window is, they do not have an R rating. However, they do help block cold drafts and provide insulation.

Insulated Curtain Liners

Two Questions 1. Are these insulated curtain lines also blackout liners? Do they block out nearly all outside light? 2. Are these liners suitable for hanging on a separate slider track (separate from the curtain track) using regular drapery hooks (see image)
Asked by: gandalf
No, they are insulated more for heat, not for light. No, the liners are attached to the curtains.
