Pop-Up Bird Net Support Poles-Set of 4 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as pictured in catalog. Very disappointed that this product did not have the door opening as pictured in the catalog. Definitely too large to take on and off. Really needs the door.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs support. The pins are too small. Living in Florida we have sand. I had to put poles for support. Windy day they flew over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No longer will the birds eat my blueberries! I bought the Pop-Up Bird Net to prevent the birds from eating all of my blueberries--which they have been doing for years. The net fits over the plant beautifully and is larger than I expected. I liked the product so much I immediately bought another. The net takes practice folding it back up after use as it twists several times. Once you succeed it comes in a very pretty protective case which zips up to keep it safe during the winter. I believe that this time we will be eating our blueberries and not the birds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good value I have the 6'x3'x3' Popup net.#actually 3 of them#.The first is protecting 4 Earth boxes which have peas and spinach #2 each# planted in them. I bought them to deter our resident groundhog , to protect the seeds from birds and the plants from moths.. The netting is just right for the latter. My only problem is the fact that I have to lift the whole thing to tend to the plants. Hopefully that will not be too hard to do #which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5#

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pop up bird tent I bought 4 of these for patio plants that receive an extreme amount of sun (too much as I live in Houston). I am hoping to protect them somewhat from burning so they grow better. I just received my order, what a fabulous idea Home Improvements I am so glad I discovered you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product saved my veggie garden!! I live near the park so I had problems with animals eating and destroying my vegetable garden until I got the pop up bird nest. Not only did they keep out the birds but also the bunnies, deer and ground hogs. I liked them so much I purchased another 3. They folded up easily for storage during the winter.

Will bugs get through?

What is the name of the material? Will it keep mites & noseeums out.
Asked by: snail
Thank you for your question. The Pop-up Bird Nets are made of a polyester net. The holes are small enough to keep out birds, deer, rabbits and larger insects but do allow bees and other pollinators through, so the netting will not prevent tiny insects from entering.

Tending Plants

I have three 6'x3'x3' pop ups. What is the best way to tend the plants. Should I take out the anchor stakes on one side and tilt it over? Will that work or will the weight of the pop up pull out the anchor stakes on the other side?? I have only installed one so far so if I have to do something special I would like to know before I install the other 2.
Asked by: PaGardenGram
Thank you for your question. To tend your garden, you can tilt the net up or remove it completely. Because customers like you asked for easier accessibility, we added zippered doors to our new Pop-Up Bird Nets for 2013. The item number is 411895 for the 6'x3'x3'.

Which sizes have the wire support running down the middle?

It sounds like some sizes have the wire support at the bottom and others don't (see reviews and question above). Would you clarify which models have the wire support? Thanks!
Asked by: Jenjaye
Thank you for your question. Because of their larger size, the 6' Pop-Up Nets have the wire support running through the center to help provide more stability.

support wire running through the bottom middle

I bought the 4 foot square by 6 foot tall version, but haven't opened it. I plan to use it in the spring. But, in reading some of the reviews for these pop-up nets in various sizes, some of the comments have been about a support wire running through the middle at the bottom. Which of the sizes or models have this support wire? If you put it over your plants, and then have to take it off to pull weeds or harvest vegetables, it seems like the support wire would destroy your vegetables. Also, if you want to put this over a pot, you couldn't if a support wire ran through the middle.

Thank you for your question. The 4x6 Pop Up Bird Net does not have a wire support running through it.
