Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Not even one fruit fly was in the bottle, a waste of money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome Why would I even want bugs in this handsome glass pineapple? Long the symbol of hospitality, insects not wanted. I bought it for the glass material which allows the sun's rays to glimmer on my patio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not that great. Not impressed because it did not catch/trap a single fruit fly. The one that my son concocted out of a plastic cup, plastic wrap with vinegar and dish soap was wonderful. His trapped dozens!!! So I basically have a very pretty decoration for my kitchen counter top!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not that great. Ordered this thinking it would be a beautiful way to get rid of the fruit flies in my kitchen but it is simply a decoration. Not one single fruit fly was trapped or caught in this thing but the one my 17 year old son concocted himself killed dozens!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Love this Trap This trap really works. It takes care of the fruit flies and it is easy to maintain. I have several that I move from time to time as the need arises. This area has a lot of gnats and fruit flies and this works for both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning! I purchased the gold pear-shaped fruit fly trap because I witnessed the effectiveness of a similar one at a resort. I was stunned when the Improvements version arrived. It is drop dead gorgeous. It looks and feels like a piece of fine art. I am thinking about purchasing more of these for back-up in the event one breaks. I'm also thinking that these would make lovely and practical gifts. I could not be happier with my purchase.

I purchased this product and the Pineapple.  Still not clear how these items are supposed to catch fruit flies. There is no bait cachet included with these items.  The directions enclosed and the one on-line don't match or make sense.

I apologize, but we no longer carry the bait. Use a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a squirt of non-citric dish soap and fill the pineapple half full of water to catch fruit flies.

Is the height of the pineapple really 19.5" as written in the description?  It does not look that tall next to the pear fruit fly trap.  I want one but not sure about something nearly 20" high to catch fruit flies!

The 19 1/2" in height is correct.
