Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea but could use some improvements This could have been a great product. I believe a standard garage door frame opening (i.e., mine) is the same 8'x7' size of the screen. Therefore, the screen should have been made an inch or two larger so that it can be easily installed without leaving 'openings'. The screen is an inch or two too small. Fishhook or loop type of screws would probably make this much easier to install/remove. Some type of holder (e.g., loops, straps, or hooks) for temporarily opening the screen out of the way would be a real convenience. Some of the grommet holes are too big and allow the screws to easily detach. If the screen was an inch taller I wouldn't even need the velcro. Improvements are plentiful...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from screen kit This kit is easy to assemble and can be used on smaller doors if needed, just find a place to hang the excess. It can be modified with with extra velco to hang anywhere. A good deal for the price. I just hope it stands up to the wind.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Screen for garage door. Well First off the screen is not very durable and tears easily. Second the magnets are not even close enough to each other as to allow the automatic connection and closing one would expect for this. That's the bad. The good is that it works over all. Use potato chip clips to hold it closed because like I stated up there. The magnets are not close enough to reach each other. I would look else where for a better made product. And would not recommend this to my friends or family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from needs improvements great screens for my 2 car garage. Needs better material on bottom to hold rods as after a few months it rip and rods fall out.. also needs 2 more magnets on opening to keep bugs from coming through top half. I have MANY people stop and ask where they can get it so have recommended it to a lot of folks.. I have been buying this product for several years and will continue to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garage door screen I love this screen. Allows you to have door open without bugs or your neighbors cat getting in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the value and result.. Finally! A screen for the garage that is attractive, easy to put up and take down, does not block any breezes and is nearly transparent. The only complaint I have....it took over a month to arrive. Why, I do not know. But that needs to be corrected for better customer service.

It says in the description to insert your own tube or piping in the bottom. What size of tubing would fit the bottom of the screen?

Can we trim the width if it is too wide for our opening?

I want to use this for a screen house that is 10 ft by 10 ft. to replace one side which does not have an opening. (it has two openings on the walls opposite one another and we need them on adjacent walls). The "magic doors" on the market are not wide enough so I am looking at those designed for garage doors and this one seems great, but too wide. So I am wondering if I can cut appx. 3 ft. off each side to be the width I need?
Asked by: tinybudgetbigdreams
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend altering the Garage Screen Kits as additional tailoring would be required and the weights on the bottom would need to be modified.
