Eucalyptus Sliding Pet Gate 4.1 5 88 88
This Gate does the job! We have two smaller dogs (10 lbs. each) and have been searching for a long time to find the right gate to keep them out of our living room. This gate is PERFECT! This gate is very easy to move and access the room when needed but is the perfect combination of function and design that we were looking for. I highly recommend this gate and only regret waiting to buy it for as long as we did. March 23, 2014
Perfect for what we needed We purchased this product for indoor use so can't say how it would weather outside. A little concerned about quality given some of the reviews but it is well made and was easy to put together. We have a large dog and so we have positioned it so that should she jump on it it would not fall over but if you didn't have this option it could probably be easily knocked over by a big dog. Love that it is easy to move in and out of place and when it is in place it fits well with the decor and allows her to still see us. March 20, 2014
dog gate is useless Despite the name the "sliding" dog gate does not slide open - it's just a barrier. "Sliding" changes the width but there is no way to get through - you have to jump over it. It is also wobbly - a dog could tip it over easily because the bracing legs are much too small. I will be returning it for a refund. March 11, 2014
I bought three I bought two to use inside and was surprised on how pretty they look, so I ordered a third one. We have a German Shepherd and an elderly Beagle, the gates keep them out from the carpeted rooms. Each Gate slides easy for walking through and looks elegant to not have to hide when guests are expected. My opinion, the gates are worth their money. February 19, 2014

Answer:
Nothing the keep the panels from sliding apart, You might be able to install a latch of some kind. Depending on how wide they are spread, a small child probably wouldn't be able to move the panels.

Answer:
There is no lock, it slides easily so a child could push it open and closed I would not use this as a child safety gate.

Answer:
No there is not. However it is very stiff and it would take a big strong child to slide it open. The whole thing could be moved though depending on the child. I wouldn't use it for serious child safety, like stairs but more as a boundary.

Answer:
No, the pet gate is free standing and 2 sections slide to the width needed. It would not be suitable for containing a small child.

Answer:
doesn't appear to be, but gate is sturdy enough that it would take a very strong older child to open gate when new - don't know about later if it will slide easier

This gate will not slide open, but had a button on top of the latch has has to be pushed/slid to open the gate. Depends how savvy the child is.

I need this to block a cat from from a tiled hallway into a carpeted room. The wall between the two has a 5 " wall depth. So I need the "feet" supporting the gate to be less than 5" on each side of the gate.

We have a 71" wide entry way we need to gate, but our dog is quite tall and will likely be able to jump over this gate.
