Eucalyptus Sliding Dog Gate is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but The gate is very nice and is right for the spot/job we needed. However, my one complaint is that the slide of the sides is a struggle....big struggle

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What We Needed Purchased this for our bar area to keep the little dogs out overnight. It came well packaged, was easy to assemble and is really easy to use. They slide really well and are light enough to move out of the way when needed. I like that they slide all the way shut so they are easy to store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EVERYONE SAYS "WOW" ! THAT'S PERFECT FOR YOUR CAT I ADDED STAIRS ON MY DECK, & MISS KITTY THOUGHT THAT MEANT SHE COULD GO OFF THE DECK . THIS GATE IS PERFECT, AS IT SLIDES OPEN EASILY & HER LITTLE BODY CANNOT FIT THROUGH.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre Not as heavy of wood as it looks, and it can tip over pretty easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful gate!! I bought this gate to section off part of my kitchen at night so that my Min Pin, Pomeranian, Chihuahua mix can't use part of the kitchen to leave a puddle. The other side of my kitchen I am using a regular gate because the gate can fit between my cabinet and island. The other side where I bought the Eucalyptus can fit between the island and cabinet. The width of the regular gate wasn't wide enough. The gate is heavy, beautifully made and soooo easy to put together. All that is needed for installation is to attach the two feet to the bottom of the gate. It took about 5 minutes. I set it up at night and fold it during the day. Easy to close, easy to carry and easy to store. I would recommend this gate for indoor and outdoor use.

What is the space between the slats?  We have two Chihuahuas who each weigh about 7 pounds.  We are purchasing this to put on the sidewalk outside of our front door (to stop them if they get past us when someone comes to the door).

I will be using this gate on a hardwood floor.  When sliding it open will it be scraping the hardwood floor?  If so, would it be possible to add wheels on the bottom?  Thank you taking the time to answer.

Asked by: Veresa
Depending on the wheels that you suggest, pets might be able to lean on a gate and move it out of place. I'd consider using locking wheels and avoid those that rotate. I suspect that six would be the minimum number. I'm using a pair of gates outdoors but have wood chairs on wood floors in our breakfast nook. I use self-adhesive felt disks/pads on each of the chair legs to prevent scratches on out wood floors. These pads could be attached to the gate on the underside of the wood feet and the blocks on the center section. Many home improvement and hardware stores carry these in various sizes.

Do the panels slide to walk through, or do you have to step over it? The photos don't help to answer this.

Asked by: SGoodie
They slide from both sides, inward.

Do the extended feet extend on both sides of the gate? What is the length of the extended feet?

Asked by: Clareb
Yes, they do extend on both sides. This makes it very flexible for your space!

Received the gate today and it is beautiful.  It is a little hard to slide and wanted to know if anyone had a solution to help the panels slide more easily.  Visitors at the front sidewalk won't know to hold the gate off of the ground to slide.
