Deluxe Ironing Center is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ikea type directions Typical Ikea type picture directions. If you built Ikea products before it takes 30 minutes to an hour max. Took my 45 minutes because I was curious if the directions were correct due to previous reviews. Directions and build order was exactly as needed. Would have taken me 30 minutes if I had not read them due to experience. I used a Hex drill bit to screw it in and the provided allen wrench for final tightening. Easy build but Cam bolts do seem short due to foam cover on board. You have to have it upright and push down on the ironing board to tighten cam bolts all the way. Some of the white finish got chipped during shipping but it wasnt bad enough to bother with a return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Happy with this ironing board, would buy this again. Putting the top on holes and hardware are to short and you cannot tighten it down. We ended up using liquid nails. Draw slides install somewhat difficult. Only gave this area a 3 on survey. Everything else very happy

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and not so good Pros: easy to move on large, non-marking casters, good storage for ironing accessories, good full extension drawer slides, compact width. Cons: difficult assembly, not enough clearance between ironing board and side extension to allow an ironing board cover to fit, the photos notwithstanding. The supplied drawer and shelf slides are greasy. You may want to clean these after assembly to prevent soiling your laundry or the ironing board pad. This is perhaps the best ironing center I've seen advertised. Its design is marred by difficult assembly. If you have not assembled so-called "flat pack" furniture before, don't attempt this without help from someone who has done this type of assembly before. You will need a few more tools than listed in the instructions or supplied. Recommended tools: flat blade screw driver, #2 Phillips screwdriver - one short and one as long as you can get, Channel-lock type pliers. By all means get a ball-end 4mm hex driver with a screwdriver-type handle. These are available from Bondhus and Eklind, among others. The small L-shaped hex wrench supplied will drive you crazy as screws are quite long and require many turns in tight quarters to install. Do not use any power tools. Tighten everything hand tight. The tiny screws that hold the drawer slides for the extension shelf are easy to strip out of the wood. To start these little screws, use your finger to hold the screw head on the tip of the screw driver and use your other hand to position the screw in its pilot hole. Half a turn or so is sufficient to start the screw. When removing the drawers per the instructions, do one drawer slide at a time, holding the little plastic release with your finger and pushing the drawer out from the rear. Trying to pull the drawer from the front usually doesn't work. While many of the fasteners are quite difficult to reach, the good thing about the kit is that everything fits quite accurately. Always install all the fasters for a given part loosely and then hand tighten them all once the part is in place. When installing the casters, use Channel-lock-type pliers to tighten the bearing race a half a turn or so. This doesn't have to be more than snug, but will prevent the casters from loosening later. Use the pliers with the thinnest jaw you can find to help prevent marring the wood. I would recommend this ironing center with reservations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deluxe Ironing Center I have had my ironing center for a couple of weeks and love it! Its made with quality products and very sturdy. My husband and I put it together in less than an hour and the directions were pretty easy to follow. I love the idea of the storage underneath for baskets on the two shelves. I would highly recommend this product. It was shipped to me really quick too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, assembly a nightmare After 2 hours of assembly, our son, who is very handy and built his own dining room table, said it was the most stressful 2 hours of his life. The directions had you putting things on backwards, and some steps should have been before others. He tossed aside the directions and got the ironing center assembled just by "eye-balling" everything. Great ironing center once it was put together, but it would be worth $50 to have a handyman put it together for someone who is not handy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate The assembly of this was backwards. So we had to improvise . The ironing board cover pops off. I am hoping that with time it will stretch and fit properly.

I am assembling the deluxe ironing center.  My parts 9 & 10 came put together.  To install them they need to be separated.  How is this done?

Asked by: dmhg
1) Pull the inner slides from the outer slides, exposing a small, black safety release tab. 2) Push the safety release tab in the direction shown, then continue pulling to separate the slide halves. To release the slides when the assembly is complete, pull up on the tab on the left side of the drawer, and push down on the tab on the right side of the drawer.

What is the width of the center without the ironing board top?  About 30 inches?  I think the previous answers must be wrong at 23 inches,
