Clear Museum Gel is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from precious cut glass now safe I was afraid that some very precious cut glass would slip and break in my china cabinet. I bought the gel to secure it. It does the job but is not clear, it is white and certainly shows in the cabinet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a bit tricky to use The product is a bit trcky to use. I was using it to hold martini glasses and other glass items to glass shelves. The gel isn't very tacky so it was difficult to get it to stay in place on the bottom of the gasses when they were turned over. A knife bleade helped hold the ge in place. Once in place, squeezed down and allowed to set, the gel seems to be working. However, it didn't work with candlesticks with smooth metal bases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy these if you care about your antiques I own and operate a house museum and therefore have a lot of valuable and irreplaceable antiques throughout the home, especially glassware and pottery. I was sold on this product as I was visiting another famous house museum in California and they said the only antiques that were damaged during a major earthquake that "pancaked" overpasses were the ones that were not secured with this product. The ones that were secured with this product stayed intact. If this product is good enough for priceless museums, it is good enough for your home too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more rattling !! I live on the main street in our town, and all of my hurricane lamps shake and rattle when a heavy truck passes. This product stopped the noise immediately. I'm also using it to stand up plates in my china closet, without a plate groove. My collection a pewter plates are being kept from rolling with the putty. I can't wait to try some other uses for it. What a great product !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most AWESOME product since sliced bread!!! I am a boater and Museum Putty has been through some of the worst storms and held my HEAVY glass objects intact!!! In fact, I have 2 Martini glasses with the matching pitcher on a ledge and the putty held SO well that the base of the glass stayed put, as the stem and top of the Martini glass broke from impact!!! Blew my mind! I give packs of this as gifts to my boating friends. We used to have a motor home. It would work FABULOUS for that too! I also use it at home under my fingertip hand towel holder, tissue cover holders & soap dispensers so they stay in place and NEVER tip over! I also use it in the office too! Anywhere you need something to stay in place...you want this product! BEST part...when you need to remove the item, it just comes right off to re-use, over and over again!!! A pack lasts a looooong time!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Museum Putty WISH it was a tad less expensive, but it is a great product. Love it particularly during Christmas decorating time. Holds ornaments in precarious ways for cool effects. MIMSER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Stuff Is the Best I use Museum Gel for all our art glass and art pottery displays in our home. When the cat jumps on a cabinet or table or the woman who cleans for us dusts around them, I have no worries, because the items stay in place. I also use it to keep our art prints in-place on the walls. You only have to use a dab, and if you want to remove the items, they come right off.I wanted to put electrified, decorative jack-o-lanterns out on our porch posts this Halloween, and the Museum Gel held them in-place in the Kansas wind and rain. I would caution against using the product on unfinished wood. It might leave a spot. And, when you use it on a vertical surface, it might run a little, but the run wipes right off with your finger. It's a GREAT PRODUCT!
