6" Battery Operated Starlight Sphere is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from SO disappointing! These are gorgeous which makes it even more aggravating that they are such poor quality. They last one season and then for no reason stop working. This has happened two years in a row and I'm seriously mad I spent the $$$!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty but don't work I bought eight of these, which was a bit of an investment. I bought them last year. They were great when all lit, but only worked for a couple days. When I took them down after the holidays I found that the battery had rusted in a number of them. Obviously they are not weather proof and described. Total waste of money and time, since they are hung in a tree and hard to get to, especially since it is winter and cold. I put new batteries in them this year and they worked for a few days. Last night only three were lit. Bad product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the 3rd time I have ordered these spheres and every time I receive there is something defective with at least one of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty globe light! I bought 3 last year for Halloween and was very pleased, ordered 4 more this year however, one does not light, I do not have the packing slip so not sure if I can return?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have reordered twice Obviously I like these as decorations. Ordered once, then again and again. Battery use is the only downside, but convenience of one-time setting to turn on same time each day is a great feature. Weather I suspect caused a couple of mine to get time confused, but was an easy fix to reset. I have only purchased the white ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful. I haven't seen them in the dark yet but I like the look of them already in the daylight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't consistently work I loved how these look, but they were very "on and off" all holiday season. Some of them would quit working, I'd dry out the battery compartment as directions stated, they'd work for another night, then they'd quit working. I'd have to go press the button again and they would start up. And so the routine continued. Since they are designed to hang in a tree, it's a huge pain to have to go outside and keep fiddling with them. For the price, I'm not sure I would recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth the money The product looks great when it works. It is suppose to have a five hour timer setting. They went on the second night fine but then the next few nights were hit or miss if they went on automatically. So each night I have to check them and then go outside on a ladder and put them on manually. I even changed the batteries hoping that would help but it didn't.

If you place the spheres on the ground do they come with stakes to hold them in place so they don’t blow away.

Asked by: hlehmann
But the description in the catalog says they can be displayedon the ground. However, there is a separate item that has the sphere on a stake in the ground. Look for that item.

Do the white shine a nice goldish color when lit?I don't care for the stark white some LED lights shine when lit.Thank you for your answer!

Asked by: cyclist
No they are not gold in color. They shine stark white and they look awesome next to the red balls. The orange balls have a gold color to them.
