Don’t knock it until you try it – this Mayonnaise Cake Recipe is actually quite delicious!
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
- 2 Cups Flour
- 2 Tsp Vanilla
- 3 Tbl Cocoa
- 2 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- Pre-heat oven to 350. In a medium mixing bowl, cream sugar and mayonnaise together.
- Add cocoa, soda and flour and mix until smooth.
- Slowly stir in water and vanilla. Pour batter into greased 9×13 cake pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
- Let cool for approximately 15 minutes then frost with your favorite frosting (I always go for double chocolate). To follow our family tradition, you serve it in a bowl with milk on top. YUM!
