9' Double Top Solar Lighted Umbrella is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs stronger pole Bought about 3 summers ago. Umbrella fell over in the wind (has a strong base) on the second day and bent the pole and knocked off the solar panel. Gorilla glue has kept the panel in place. Pole is bent but umbrella functions great. Wish a stronger replacement pole was offered from Improvements.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good looking Ive bought 2 of these umbrellas. The first one I bought over a year ago. It looked great but while the top was tilted some wind came up and it snapped the pole! Thinking it must have been some manufacturing error I bought another one for this year. Same thing again except even less wind pole snapped. This seems like an expensive umbrella to be breaking all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Find!! I just got this today, so I can't report on how it holds up long term. I ordered the Lake Blue which is absolutely gorgeous. It is solid, well made, and large. The solar lights are my favorite feature. It looks beautiful on the lanai. Look forward to having a bit more shade there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauriful! We bought two of these and it turned our backyard into a resort like retreat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color off Product looks good but had to send back my first order because color was way off from the color in the catalog. Ordered what looked like cranberry red and it came peach. So second time I order brown and got sand color. That will work but color in catalog needs to be more true.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing... I bought two of these umbrellas and they are of poor quality. The solar feature never worked on one umbrella, and sporadically worked on the other. The first wind came along and knocked both over; one is severely bent. I have purchased other umbrellas at a much lower price with better quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality I bought this umbrella a few months ago & I love it! Very good quality. It even came with a cover for storage & I was also impressed with the wrap around Velcro tie to keep it closed on windy days!

Is there a battery that I have to charge?  If so, what type of connection?

Asked by: Cutie pie
TO REPLACE THE BATTERY We recommend that you change the batteries in your solar light umbrella every year or when you feel the light is fading. Buy one (1) 18650 Lithium 1500mAh rechargeable batteries same as supplied with panel. Install only new battery of the same type in your product. You can purchase at specialty retailers. *Failure to insert battery in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment may shorten the life of the battery or cause the battery to leak. Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries.Answer this question...

Is the solar light panel waterproof in case the cover isn’t on the umbrella during a heavy rain?

Asked by: Bloomski
This umbrella is designed for easy operation, sunshade and decorative purposes only. It is NOT recommended that this umbrella be used during periods of high wind and rain. Always take the umbrella down during high or gusting wind and rain, when not in use and in the off- season. Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or property damage. • If the crank becomes too hard to crank, check to see if the rope has come off the pulley. If you continue to turn the crank, the rope or crank handle could break.Answer this question...

The lights on our new solar lighted umbrella appear to be on during the day but they go out when it gets dark. Why would this be happening?

Asked by: SAmon
Thank you for your question. The item charges during the day, so the on/off switch will have to be turned off so the item can full charge. If you do not have it turned off to charge it will light up during the day because the sun is out but as soon as the sun goes down you have used the battery power to keep it on.
