9' Half Round Umbrella is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I put this on the corner of my small patio in the half round stand. it blows over every day. I give up. It may do better with the straight side against a building or maybe with a full round stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If used properly - with a base, excellent product. I have owned this item for more years than I can remember; I want to estimate it is around 10 years. It is still functional and stands sturdily on my rear deck, with the flat side against my house. I recommend lowering the umbrella when windy weather is forecast; you'd do the same with Any umbrella. I have the red one, and the color has stood up quite well over the years, as has the product's ability to shed rain; I keep it raised all summer with the exception of when I'm away and/or wind is predicted. I'd be lost without this little gem. When I purchased mine, they were new on the market and it cost $150 plus the stand, so the price here is remarkably reasonable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An Oops for this buyer While the concept is good - the execution is poor. It is very flimsy and I cannot get it to stay in one place. IF you order this - maybe you will do better with the base, which I did not get. However - you would do better to order a full umbrella.

Is the red a true red (not brick or burgundy)?

I'm trying to match the full size umbrella in the attached photo. The half umbrella will go on the left side of my deck so the colors need to match fairly closely.
Asked by: AmyHG
Hello. Yes, in my opinion this does look like a true red. Thank you!

Is a replacement canvas available without having to buy the whole umbrella?

Asked by: LAinFL
Hello, unfortunately this item's canvas can not be purchased separately. Thank you

Does the base have to lean against a wall?

Please bear with me. My balcony has a solid cover across, but I need to block sun that comes onto patio from the west. Can I have base up against the banister? If so, would I still have access to the crank? Will I need to fill the base with sand, water, etc?
Asked by: Hazel1548
Depends on the height of the banister. it is 28lbs of polystone. No water or sand needed.

Does this umbrella tilt to shade as the sun sets?

Please check your measurements!!

The desctiption says this umbrella has a 9' diameter? That is not possible based upon this picture. Please review and list the correct dimensions and especially the correct diameter for this item. Thanks.
Asked by: TimBoy
Sorry, but it IS 9' in diameter. This is 1/2 of a circle. The distance across the middle of a circle is its diameter. SO, this thing is 9' across on the flat side and extends from the pole 4.5' (the radius) at its midpoint. I should know; I've owned one for years.

How does the crank work?

Since the pole will be snug against the wall, does the crank require a full circle to operate. I ask since the picture shows the crank on the side. Also it says the diameter is 9 foot. Is this 9 foot out from the wall? Also is the width also 9 foot along the wall. Thank You,
Asked by: IreneB
Follow me here, okay? The umbrella is 1/2 a circle. The "diameter" of a full circle is the distance across; that's how wide this umbrella is. The "radius" of a circle is 1/2 the diameter; that is how wide the umbrella extends from the pole at its midpoint. So, yes, the umbrella extends 9' along the flat side, and 4.5' at the widest point in front of the pole. The crank is not perpendicular to the wall; it's parallel to the wall and on the opposite side of the pole, in easy reach.
