9' Fiberglass Umbrella is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yellow Patio Umbrella Nice color- not too bright; soft lemony color. Solid build.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I bought 2 of these umbrellas & only used them for 2.5 months last summer. I specifically bought them as they claimed they are wind resistant. NOT TRUE!! They don't have ties around umbrella fabric when not in use, so any amount of wind will pick them up if kept in an umbrella stand & has broken both. I found a way to fix them (sad I had to do this after 2 months of use). They have been stored all winter (I live in MN), so I just brought them out to use this summer & noticed they are completely faded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived High Winds! Nor'easter high winds of up to 45-60 mph gusts were no problem for this umbrella. I've had this umbrella for around 3 years and it has looked and worked fine. It was only up because somehow the cranking mechanism is stuck and I can't get it down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from upgraded by adding color This was a super sale item that added that dash of great color to my patio. It was surprising ly high, even though the height was noted. Lightweight but seems sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Umbrella I really like this umbrella. Love the color I purchased. My only problem is it is just not heavy enough to withstand winds. Even when it is not open. It can get pretty windy during storms & the darned thing blows over. I have it in a heavy umbrella stand. Not sure what to do with it as I love the ability to tilt my umbrella. May just put some sandbags on it to weigh the whole structure down. I think it blows over because of the height. I am sure if it were in an area better protected it would be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful umbrella Easy to use. Color I chose is perfect. Color choices are numerous, but wish there was a black and some stripe options. Like that canopy is removable and replaceable. Will be purchasing more for my patios.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color My World Cool umbrella with vibrant color and solar lights. The only thing I would change is having the light switch on the shaft instead of the umbrella perimeter .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very high quality umbrella at good price This umbrella is strong and well-built. Tilt is easy to operate. Look is attractive. Haven't had it long enough to judge durability, but believe that will be excellent, as well.

Anyone know what to do when it becomes hard to crank up/down the umbrella?

We've only had this umbrella for a few weeks, and in the past two days it's hard to crank, both up and down. We are afraid we're going to break it. Ideas?
Asked by: JTDinWV
I take some WD40 spray in on a paper towel and rub the towel on the pole. I haven’t had any problems with raising and lowering my umbrella and it’s about 4 years old.

Wondering if the ribs are true fiberglass ribs as it states in the description. I do see one bad review about the crank mechanism. I’m tired of buying umbrellas that last 3 weeks because the ribs break and not because of the wInd.

The ribs are true fiberglass.

Can this be used on a tanning ledge in a salt water pool without rusting? Is the poll made of fiberglass too?

Asked by: Jajsmom
Hello, this pole is made from aluminum and we do not recommend the pole being placed in saltwater as it will rust in time. Thanks and we hope you have a great week!

What is the wind-rating?

The description indicates this is good for higher winds; I do always take down the umbrella on the patio, but occasionally a storm kicks up and I don't get there in time. What is the max wind rating on this umbrella?
Asked by: ebg1962
Hello, this item has a wind rating of 30mph. Thank you!

Umbrella fabric

Is the fabric "sunbrella" or some other kind of UV and fade resistant material?
Asked by: Miki
Thank you for your questions. The canopy fabric is not Sunbrella, however we do carry Sunbrella umbrellas, please check under Patio Umbrellas category on the web page. The fabric is spun polyester. The material is made to resist fading but over a certain amount of hours in the sun and the elements can begin to fade slightly. It is recommended with any umbrella canopy to cover it when not in use and to store away when out of season to preserve and prolong the use and quality of the umbrella.
