Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous These two pieces are beautiful hanging on my parents' front porch. Lasted through this horrible winter and still look new! Great value to get both of these items for $50.00. April 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful and Functional We purchased both the clock and thermometer and they are very beautiful and well made. They are a nice addition to our outdoor living space. November 17, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does not have the Verdigris Finish expected The price is great, however since these are made of a resin material, they do not have the finish of Verdigris such as in the picture. Very disappointed in the look and I should have read the description better before ordering to realize they weren't made from a metal product. I am going to keep because I don't want to deal with the return. Not worth it. April 27, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beautiful Set does not Meet Expectations In using them on my outdoor deck, I found there is one visual drawback and perhaps one design drawback. They are as follows: 1) On both items, in other than bright sunlight, I find that the gold coloring on the dial hands is virtually indiscernible. This makes reading either item at a distance as close as about 10 ft without adequate light difficult if not impossible. In dim light, you cannot see the hands or the temp dial at all. This in my mind actually renders them almost useless, despite their being pretty to look at. SOLUTION: on the thermometer I am going to paint the degree pointer a bright red, much like you would have a second hand on a white or black clock so it stands out. On the assumption that remedies the visibility, I will also do the same on the clock. This way you should be able to be even 25-35 ft away and still read the clock and knowing the layout on the thermometer dial, may a reasonable guess as to its actual reading. 2) The second issue relates more to a design feature.....the way both items are attached to the wall to with they are placed is with a simple hang-over-the-nail piece that really does not attach the piece to the wall. Many other outdoor pieces I have and or have bought typically have a screw and eye type set up where the screw or nail head passes through a hole and then the piece drops down a narrower neck so that it is more likely to remain where positioned. Given how lightweight the items are, I have great fears that they will ultimately blow off the wall. I need more time to see if I can engineer a solution to this in order to protect them in the event of even reasonable winds. Given both of these elements, hard to believe these are truly considered outdoor items. January 13, 2014

Answer:
The clock works are in a plastic case with the battery. Depending on the temp., if it gets over 110 or so the battery may rupture or the plastic might deform.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
The statement you are referring to in the product overview is regarding the outdoor themometer and not the outdoor clock. Outdoor thermometers are sensitive to the direct sunlight and if protected from the sun that will ensure a more accurate reading.

Answer:
On the back there is a plastic housing, just rotate it to set the temperature. Be careful not to bend the little metal tab sticking out of the housing.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
The thermometer should not be in direct sunlight if it is please move and then retest to see if it adjusts to the accurate temperature. If not, 20 degrees even 10 degrees off would be considered as faulty. Contact customer service for an exchange. We apologize for any inconvenience.
