Rated 5 out of 5 by privacy screen I've been looking for a way to hide my Generac generater and the "jug" (propane talk for small propane tank). My house is stained the same brown and these screens will do the job and also allow the jug to be monitored and filled as needed. I couldn't believe how quickly they arrived! March 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I needed a easy Privacy Fence It lookes like a wicker privacy fence, which was what I wanted--but without the hassle of building one. Yes, it is plastic Resin , but for what I needed this is just right! March 23, 2012

Answer:
yes you could use just 3 of them with the stakes. They come 5 to a package. You would need 4 of them with 3 panels.

Answer:
Sure, there is no need to use all 4 panels. But you do need to run the metal rods into the ground. It also helps if the panels are not in a straight line. The panels are very light and the metal rods must anchor them against the wind. Double check that their height is enough for your purpose.

Answer:
It will stand freely if it is not in a straight line, but if the wind blows or it gets bumped it will probably fall over. Stakes keep it from falling over even in the wind.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
The item is a stand alone. The poles that are placed through the hinging on each panel can be placed in the ground for added stability. Improvements also recommends using the ground stakes along with the poles from the privacy panel screen. The ground stakes were especially developed for even more stability and by requests made from our Improvements customers. That item number is 423437.

I want to hide my pool equipment. Does this help conceal the noise from the pool filter pump? How many panels are needed to cover the equipment?

Answers

Answer:
It will mostly conceal the pool filter pump as long as it is not taller than 44". Because there are gaps between each panel I'm not sure how well they will block the noise. As long as your pump is sitting on the group where you can drive the rods into it you'll be able to position them around the pump. They will cover up an area of 7.67 ft, but not in a straight line.

Thank you for your questions.

These panels are not made to be noise reducers. I am unsure of the area you need covered but each panel is 23" wide and 44" high.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.

The amount of stakes you want is up to you. The stakes are for extra security. The windier your area is the more stakes you would need. The privacy screen can take up to 5 stakes.
