Wood-Look Rubber Outdoor Pathway-Set of 2 4.4 5 27 27
Excellent garden pathway This product was great in my vegetable garden and as well as in front of the storage bins behind my shed. No more muddy shoes souls when the weather is wet. July 17, 2014
Not for high traffic. From reading other reviews prior to purchasing, I agree the "snaps" to keep the pieces joined do not work. Any bit of movement unfastens them. I am using these in a seldom used area that needs a defined walking path so the connection issue is not so important. I feel these are a little high priced, but will be buying a couple more to complete the length of my path. The product looks good & seems like it will be durable. I would recommend with caution for where you want to use it. July 9, 2014
Lovely Logs These rubber logs look so cool, exactly the right touch for a lovely walkway after my wooden bridge that you sold me. Great craftsmanship! June 25, 2014
Wood-Look Rubber Outdoor Pathway I needed a walkway for the hill in our backyard so I could water the plants. This looks good and is very durable. It is a little difficult to snap together and keep it together. Also if you are planning on putting this down on an uneven surface other than asphalt or concrete, you will probably need to "nail" it into the ground. Definitely easier to install than stepping stones. June 24, 2014

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
The dimension is for each. In the copy it states the length for "each" section as being 31-3/4". SEE COPY below...
"Each section (you get 2) is 18"W x 31-3/4"L; use them separately or interlock the rubber walkway mats to create a longer path. The Wood-Look Rubber Outdoor Pathway is durable and easy to clean: simply spray it with your hose."

Can they deter dirt/ mud/snow from being tracked into the house?
Why not consider using old tires/rubber= recycles as might help the

Improvements highly recommends that a lawn mower is not mowed over these mats. Please remove them from the lawn path before mowing your lawn. These are durable and designed as garden path mats but the consumer would have to determine if they are stable enough for their use.
