Will work, with modifications Kind of pricey for a couple of pieces of molded plastic, and the hole for the cord for the three-way plug is designed for the smaller diameter cords. I had to carve out more plastic in order for the heavy duty cord I had to fit. I checked at the big hardware store and every three-way cord they sell has the heavier gauge cord, so the design of this item really should be modified to account for that. Once I carved out the extra cord space, I was able to use the included rubbery disks to plug the hole to keep the unit water tight. It wouldn't hold up if under water, but from rain it does the trick. May 14, 2013

wedge shaped extension cord protector box I am sooo happy someone came out with this item. I decorate for Christmas outside and had used zip-loc bags to try to proctect the connections. This is great. We had two snow storms during season I had the lights up. The boxes were buried. When it came time to take the decorations down, the connections were dry. You could tell no moisure had penatrated previously. I love it. I recently ordered another. February 22, 2013

Worked Great! Had over an inch of rain and it didn't faze the Christmas lights when it usually knocks them out. Worked like a charm. December 18, 2012
