Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive But Worth It The water hog products are fantastic. I have them at the main entrances of my home - and in the hall ways to the mud room - they catch an amazing amount of dirt and water. They get wet, contain the water and dry quickly. I power wash them on the driveway with a very mild soap, roll them up and stand them on end. They dry quickly. The raised pattern can be time consuming to vacuum - a minor issue. I have spent $$$ on lesser quality rugs that don't hold up. These wear like iron. Also, out of the box they have a new rubber smell - but it quickly dissipated. fairly expensive but you will only have to buy them once unless you change colors. They save $$ and labor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and Durable Mat I ordered one in Navy blue squares for the back door. I am so impressed by the quality and construction, I am immediately back here ordering two more before they disappear! You won't be sorry with this one. While it might seem a bit more than you may have wanted to pay, splurge on it as you will find it more than meets your expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Carpet I ordered three 3x5 carpets for my kitchen, one for each entrance and one for in front of my sink. My husband, who is extremely picky, loves the look and feel of them. The mud from his boots, and the dog's paws (a 100 pound german shepherd dog) cleans right up. I ordered the gold, very rich looking. Ordering another one today! Highly recommend for both looks and durability.

Asked by: Weeda
I was mine with a power washer and mild soap on the driveway. Roll up and stand on end. They dry quickly.

How does the stair treads attached?

Asked by: TinaL
They are strong and pliable - they just lay on the step. You could probably glue them If you wish. I wouldn't they move very little

Are Water Guard Entry Mats Safe for Hardwood Floors?

I am interested in purchasing the 3x5 Water Guard Entry Mat to place in front of my front door to protect my hardwood flooring from dirt, debris, etc from the outside; but, I have read several blogs that indicate that you should not use rubber backed mats on hardwood floors as they can cause discoloration. Furthermore, I noticed that the description for the Water Guard Crescent Mat says "Note: not recommended for use on hardwood or vinyl flooring", although ironically enough the picture of the mat is on a hardwood floor. A little confusing! I have mixed signals regarding the Entry Mats. My question is: Are the Water Guard Entry Mats safe to use on hardwood floors, i.e. not cause discoloration? Please advise. Thank you in advance for your answer!

If your wood floor is well sealed it would probably be ok. I would try It and check the floor often - perhaps allowing the rug bottom to "season" before installing would be a good idea.

Can you use these water guard stair treads on outdoor steps and all year long?

Asked by: mrsfixit
I haven't had mine very long, but they had about 3 inches of snow on them recently, and they are fine.

How would this mat be cleaned??

I want to know the ease of cleaning the mat.
Asked by: Kartaro
I power wash mine with mild soap on the driveway. Roll it up and stand it on end to dry. Water runs out quickly and it drys in no time. You could also use a garden hose but it will take a little longer
