Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent protection for light string plugs These fit over the small plugs on the ends of light strings, and are water tight. Perfect for outdoor Holiday decorations, I use them on the icicle and string lights I put along my roof. I also use them on the yard decoration plugs too. Price was very good. They fit over the joined plugs and snap close. March 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well Easy to use and tuck away on faux evergreen bows when connecting light strands. Kept everything dry. January 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by christmas light connection protector the item will work for what it is designed to do. but you cannot use it to connect and cover an extension cord, for that you will need the bigger protector. these will only protect the small plugs of christmas lights. They are easy to use and seem to seal tightly. It has rained since installing them and I have not had a problem. December 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed I always have a problem with my lights shorting out when they get wet. So I saw these and bought them. First, it was hard fitting the plug into the pocket of the holder because of all the warning tabs on the lights (I suppose I could have cut them off).... Then when I tried to snap them closed, some of the closure tabs broke off in my hand. Where the container is made of pretty solid plastic with a seal, the little closure tabs are made of a softer plastic and they break. Anyway - my lights are still shorting out after it rained last night. So they didn't work for me. It could be human error on my part - I'll give it that - but that is because I didn't find them easy to put on the lghts. December 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Flimsy locking mechanism Very disappointed with this item. The body is very well made, the seals around the openings are tight. The locking mechanisms -- one along the body and two along each of the two tips -- are bent over plastic, NOT hinges. We all know what happens when you work bent over, stressed plastic back and forth -- it breaks! Not worth the VERY high price for something that won't last long. December 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Easier than plastic bags Had high hopes for mini Cord protectors, but they are disappointing. The plastic snap closures break with any pressure applied-had to use cable ties to secure. Additionally, joined plugs from lights (purchased from this Improvements) may not allow unit to fully close, due to raised plastic on plugs. Had to "jury rig." Defeats reason to purchase. Rated 2 out of 5 by Great idea. Poor execution. Very difficult to open. You will need a screwdriver to pry open. Does not handle three prong plugs. Water/snow leaks inside. Just use a plastic bag and twist ties. December 4, 2016
