ThermaSheer Insulated Curtain two 50"x63" Panels 3.4 5 23 23
Functional But..... These curtains appear much more sheer in the picture than they actually are. When I tried to steam them with a professional steamer they crinkled up a bit on the back. I guess it's due to the somewhat plastic backing. They are not very crisp looking. But...they are very functional. They seem to keep the heat and cold out real well. March 21, 2014
FANTASTIC! We have a large window in our living room that has been impossible to deal with season-to-season. In summer, the sun pours through and heats up the house. In winter, the cold nights create a drastic chill in the room. Heavy drapes that completely block out everything were our only option and my husband hated them because he felt too closed in. Let me tell you...I love them, they work, they are awesome! Every morning, my husband pulls them back with our drapes and lets in the natural warmth of the sun. In the evenings, we close them back up again, and they have blocked the cold winter chill, and you know that New England has been experiencing an EXTREME ARCTIC COLD this season. I love them, he loves them, and I am getting more for the upstairs bedrooms - those face North - brrrrrr! They are well made. look like 'linen', pair well with our new decorative drapes, and they flat out work! I showed everyone who came over during the holidays, and they thought they were great too and asked for the web link. No one seems to mind that they have a plastic backing, because that is what makes them work. They are sensible and practical, and you really cannot beat the price for what you get. February 27, 2014
Fabulous - they really do what they say I have bought several pairs over the past year for different rooms in our house and I have consistently been impressed with what a difference they make in keeping rooms warm. They really are sheer, allowing sunlight (whatever little there may be in winter) to come through without compromising insulation. I have read the complaints that they aren't great looking but remember, they are by definition sheers, they are designed to go under another set of curtains. They aren't gorgeous all by themselves but otherwise do an excellent job! January 26, 2014
thermaSheer curtains I was disappoint in these curtains because.. It was a weave type material which I wasn't looking for or like this type of fabric, the description said sheer so i thought it would be a more delicate and and better material. January 23, 2014

Answer:
The bottoms are 'side-open hemmed'. You can put a rod through the bottom quite easily.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. These curtains are light filtering, not light blocking, so they will not provide total privacy.
