Sunscreen Cordless Roller Shade 23" 4.8 5 32 32
Excellent Product We've been looking for a solution to blocking strong afternoon sun in our formal living room without adversely affecting the look of our window treatment. These blinds have done the trick. Inconspicuous when raised and attractive when pulled down. They soften rather than block the view and protect our curtains, furniture and floor from sun damage. An excellent solution. April 1, 2014
Fabulous Sunscreen Shades I have been looking at these sunscreen cordless roller shades for over a year and finally purchased the 27" brown and also 27" white shades for our office and our bedroom. The installation was difficult because one of the screws is very short and it was hard to install. The walkout basement office brown shades installation was easier because the windows are very deep and so they fit perfectly. The bedroom windows are not as deep so part of the mechanism/bracket shows at the top of the window. I will have to find a modern valance to cover this bracket. Also, the shades do not smell funny per other reviewers, they smell new. I still love the look and functionality!!! February 14, 2014
Privacy with a View I have a first floor bedroom and I wanted a way to get some natural sunlight in the room without compromising my privacy. This product lets the light in and the looky-loos out. It's awesome! The one drawback is the strong toxic odor when you first unpack it. I strongly recommend letting it air out in your garage or another room for a few days before installing it. Does as promised... great item.. Does as promised... great item.. gives you coolness in the sun, but the ability to see out,... and it gives you privacy at the same time. I would recommend it... I have it on my garage door window.. And it is perfect in size, functionality and purpose. thanks, November 14, 2013

installation and mounting process

We have a sunroom that has no shades, blinds or cover to protect from the heat of the sun, especially in the afternoon. My husband and I are interested in your Sunscreen shades. My question is, can the Sunscreen Cordless Roller Shade "head rail" be mounted sideways, above the frame of the glass window (not the top side facing downward above the glass window). What I mean by "sideways", when the headrail is mounted the screws will be facing toward you (not downward). The reason I'm asking this question, because the top side of the glass window frame has only 7/8" space available which is very narrow to accommodate the mounting of the Sunscreen Shade's headrail. Hope you're understanding what I mean. Thank you!

Answer:
I think the answer is yes. It sounds like you want to mount this above the window casing. You may want to add some thickness to the wall by using a small block of wood so the shade will hang and roll up and down without obstruction.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The Sunscreen Roller Shade is designed to be wall or ceiling mounted. For an inside mount you would not have to turn the shade; it can be hung correctly and be screwed through the back into the wall (or window frame). You also have the option to outside mount the shade, but for this type of mount we recommend you order a larger size to overlap the sides of the window by about 2" on either side.

Thank you for your question. Yes, the 23" shade should work, but there may be up to a 3/8" gap on either side.

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend cutting the Sunscreen Cordless Roller Shades. Please take note that if the product is altered in any way from its original state when purchased it cannot be returned. May we suggest mounting outside the window frame?
