I'm trying to protect our deck stairs from rain, sun, and dog toenails. Will these stair treads help or exacerbate the problem by locking in any moisture that seeps under it? Are there any other products you would recommend for this purpose? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. If the Water Guard stair treads are attached to the stairs with an outdoor adhesive then the SBR rubber should prevent any moisture from getting underneath them. If the treads are attached with nails, then water could get underneath. The sun should not be a problem since absorbent Water Guard mats are made to dry easily and quickly.10 months ago
