Rated 5 out of 5 by stability Ordered this with 9' fiberglass umbrella - does the trick - though our table, which is approximately 60 years old, had a very low built in holder for an umbrella - which required cutting down the height of the stand to fit under the table. The color worked well to tie our antiqued bronze railing on deck with black wrought iron patio furniture. We have very windy conditions in our area and this stand is stable enough to hold the umbrella securely! September 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Just what I needed The appearance is great. One of the knobs holding the umbrella pole was broken but I have been able to repair it (it was plastic). Overall I am please with the stand. June 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for high wind areas or lots of use This umbrella stand is priced less than many stands and looks like it costs way more than it does. However, it's lower price is due to its lower quality. Ours has already broken (The outside bolt holding the tightening knob broke off) but we rigged it so that it is still useable. It might not be entirely the fault of the product. To be fair, we live in an area that is prone to sudden gusts of wind so the umbrella was blown over and took the stand with it. We have learned the hard way that we cannot leave the umbrella in the stand because of this quick wind. However, the bolt breaking off was not a result of the wind. We were just winding it to tighten the umbrella in the stand one day and the bold snapped off. If you don't have kids, are not in a windy area and will not move this umbrella stand (or the umbrella that goes in it) very much this product should work for you. But if the stand will get high use, I would not recoo May 5, 2015
