Rubber Leaf Stair Tread-Set of 4 4.5 5 83 83
Price is Excellent I bought these for my wood deck steps that get very hot in the sun. The quality is definately there and at a great price. These are hard to find glad I found this company. February 11, 2012
Fantastic !! Love these. In fact, just ordered 4 more!! They look very nice and actually stay in place without tacks or adhesive. Makes it easy to clean the steps with the garden hose by being able to remove, hose down and replace. Great product. By all means....purchase. You'll be glad you did. February 14, 2012
Great buy! Been looking for something to put on my wooden stairs out in the back and these did the trick and look great! March 22, 2012
Good value for the money We purchased similar stair treads five years ago and they made it through sun and several harsh winters, This set was a replacement for our original set. Our outside steps are safer because of these rubber treads. Prettier too! Looks are as important to me as safety is. June 15, 2012

does this have a sticky back to it?

I have rubber stair treads that I put on several years ago and these had a sticky back to them.. I have put them on my stair way in my house. If not a sticky back do have something that will be adhesive that will stay on the back of the tread? Thanks Cindy

Answer:
No they do not and they are not heavy enough to be used safely without a securing method.

Answer:
These are simply rubber, with no adhesive. You should be able to affix them to many surfaces with silicon gel. Or double sided tape.

Answer:
They don't but you could apply some. These are fairly heavy and thick. They don't seem to slide around. I have not permanently afixed them to the stairs because I like to be able to lift them and paint or clean underneath. I previously owned some that were not as high quality as these and they slid all over whenever we walked on them. These are so much heavier and well made, they don't really need to be glued down.

Answer:
No, there is no sticky back. The treads are thick and heavy and seem to stay put on their own.

Answer:
I bought the set of 4 "leaf pattern" treads for $20 and they do not have a sticky back but they are flexible and soft enough to stay put, at least they stay put in the summer when they are warm and soft. We have open-back steps and they don't even fall off the back. They really stay down tight. We also bought the more expensive set of 3 "scroll" design ($25) and they are thicker and do NOT stay put because they are more rigid and want to shift. Don't buy those. In the dead of winter when the snow comes, we will probably take them up and use sand and salt on the steps for safety..

Answer:
The treads do not have a sticky back however due to the rubber, I have not had any issues with them moving. I have not in any way secured mine to the stairs. My stairs are not open back or sides so that may be a consideration.

Answer:
No sticky back We nailed them to the stairs with small tacks on the outer edges and center of the thread. But of course these were outdoors. I dont know what you can do indoors without ruining your stairs with small holes.

Unfortunately we do no currently carry a stair tread with a sticky backside. Check with your local home improvement and hardware stores or online to possibly accomodate your needs. They general carry an assortment of adhesives that are comprehensive to different applications of textile.

I would like to purchase these for my outdoor metal staircase. I am looking to adopt a dog and dogs do not like to walk on the metal grid of my 3 flights of stairs since it hurts their toes. I could secure these to the steps for safety, but if the holes are too big, it might not solve the problem if the dog's paws push through to the metal grid beneath the mat. I cannot tell how big the cutouts are by looking at the picture.

Thank you for your questions.
Improvements suggests that you not use these for this purpose. Some of the cutouts are up to 3 inches long. What we can recommend are the Poly Pro stair treads, product #'s 414229 30" Wide and 447309 48" Wide. These come in 4 colors and they have a polypropylene center that is ridged with a rubber back and frame.
