Rubber-Back PolyPro Stair Treads-30"W-Set of 4 4.6 5 133 133
Rubber Back PolyPro Stair Treads I have an older dog who has trouble with the steps into the house, these work great. They give her non slip traction. There is no installation required. The can also be easily removed when the wooden steps need to be repainted. January 30, 2012
Stair Treads I purchased these because my front steps get wet and freeze causing people to slip. So far they have worked well although it has been such a mild winter that there is not much freezing. Idid find when it rains that I have to sweep water off them so it doesn't freeze. February 2, 2012
DURABLE AND ATTRACTIVE JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, MAKE THE STAIRS LOOK GOOD AND SAFER. I LOVE THE COLOR, ITS PERFECT February 2, 2012
wonderful stair treads I moved into a new house with painted wood stairs from the garage into the house. I was tired of cleaning these steps daily. These treads are great looking, very durable and very easy to clean. I've received many compliments on them. And they are so practical!!!! February 5, 2012

Answer:
While I do experience snow and ice, my two sets are located in the iinterior of my house, so they see no snow or ice. I have wood stairs to my basement and I have noticed that they tend to move/shift a little, requiring me to real a line, when I go back up stairs.

Thank you for your question.
This product is durable and will hold up well in inclement weather, however in general any type of outdoor mat with possibly the exception of an outdoor heated mat will require maintenance like cleaning off of snow and ice.

Answer:
Ideally these stair treads work best when used in direct contact with wood, concrete, asphalt or other hard surface. I'm afraid if you use these on top of carpet they would be more prone to slipping. Your stairs should be made from wood so I would suggest if you want to use these on top of carpet that you tack them down with small screws to keep them in place.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
This is an outdoor stair tread, most uses for this item would be on a outdoor deck or porch stair. If you review some of our indoor anti-slip stair treads located on our website you may find better choices for your indoor application. Our recommendation also is that any type of stair tread you place over carpeting will most likely have to be tacked down as to not cause any injury.
Thank you.

Due to the different types of stairs that are made Improvements recommends the customer to best check with your local hardware or home improvements stores on what would be the best adhesive application.
