10' Round Offset Umbrella

Awesome umbrella!
Pretty easy assembly even though we were either missing some nuts and bolts or they just don't provide them. Had to hit the Depot for those and sand for the base. Great coverage for our grill area. Love this umbrella!

Looks nice but is made of plastic
The umbrella looks very nice but the moving parts and joints are made of plastic so I am concerned with the durability of it. It is also a little difficult to move the part that allows the umbrella to tilt.

The Big Easy
I disagree with the other reviewer that found assembly complicated or difficult, in fact I don't think we referenced the info at all in the process. Bolt the post to the cross base and insert the top assembly - that's it! Now I do have to say that it takes a little getting used to the up and down operation a bit as this is essentially a crane carrying an unbrella. Very nice solution at a very reasonable price.
PS: I ordered the poly base to hold it secure. Equally easy to assemble and found that each base requires 2 x 60# bags of sand to perfectly fill. I added appx 7 gallons of water to increase the weight, dropped on the cover and was good to go!

Serving its purpose
We bought the umbrella as a protection against the weather (sun and/or rain) for our grill. The good news is that it works like a charm and kept me dry when I was grilling. It also kept the hot sun off my head when I was trying to cook on one of the hottest days. The bad news is that the instructions are not intuitively obvious and we had to put it together a couple of times before we got it right and then right the way we wanted it to face.

Answer:
No, the base cannot be moved easily because it is very heavy with the wet sand and in so many pieces that are not attached to each other.11 months ago

No, I found it to be very heavy to keep the umbrella up.Age: 35-44

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The base will be heavy and not easy to move that is as an entire unit, with umbrella and base intact. If you have the means to move the filled base on a dolly for relocation then it would still be necessary to disassemble the umbrella from the base, relocate, then reassemble the umbrella back to the base. Any type of offset base where filling the container with water, sand or a combination of the two is required will be heavy. (The idea is to place the offset umbrella with filled base in one specific outdoor living area and to leave stationary.)

What colors are available for the umbrella. In the picture, it appears to be white.
The metal appears to be stainless steel yet the description says that it is bronze.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. It appears that there is typo in the description for this umbrella.
The canopy is a beige color and the metal pole and frame (not stainless steel) is in a taupe tone finish. This is the only combination it comes in. Improvements will have the copy on the product page corrected.
We apologize for any confusion. Thank you.
