I wanted a storage chest for my patio and this chest looks nice on the patio and has lots of storage space, but it isn't very well made. The materiel is kind of second rate and I don't expect it to last very long. The bamboo is wrapped around the wooden dowels, which were predrilled for the fasteners. In some cases there was bamboo remaining that hadn't been completely drilled out and I had to get out some of my tools and finish the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
