I really love this product!
We are hoping to buy another one. They will definitely pay for themselves in a short period of time. Haven't used tap water to water garden and flower beds since we set this up and it rained! Love it!

Great to save rain water
This great cause when not needed can be stored away.

Overall very good buy
It was easy to assemble. It is very durable and looks like it will last a long time. The filter is really only good for large items, so we are taking a piece of mesh and adding it to the filter. Also, it zips up to the drain gutter, and isn't a snug fit, so we are going to have to do something about that, but otherwise, it is very nice and a good buy for the money.

Put on your thinking cap!
I got my barrel several days ago to collect water that drains from my evaporative cooler. (we seldom have rain in Palm Springs) and so far it's doing the job. But beware the "instructions". Putting the barrel together is simple enough. Just rods slipping into sleeves, but the spigot and draining element is very confusing. The instructions tell you nothing. It's just a piece of paper with some Xerox images that are the size of postage stamps and the instructions don't have any clues like "insert part A into part B" etc. It just says "see image A" and you have to figure out what the heck you are looking at. The pieces make no sense at first and after several tries, which were incorrect, I was able to figure out how to assemble the units. Worst of all, they came all screwed together so it was difficult to know which portion went inside the barrel or outside. You really have to figure it out on your own. Don't depend on the tiny black and white images which are not clear. So far it's collecting water, so I must have done something right.
