If you've ever looked up to the heavens and wondered just what you were looking at, this Space Navigator is the ideal learning tool to guide you through the mysteries of the night sky. It was designed by an astronomy teacher to help you easily find constellations, stars, and deep-sky objects. (Planets are not shown, since they constantly move among the constellations.)
You're guided through the steps by voice command (which can be silenced) and the LCD display. The "Your Sky Tonight" window shows you at a glance what's overhead any night of the year. Press another button to find out about that night's "top five astronomy events", including meteor showers and eclipses. 20 colorful "maps" make it easy to find what you want fast.
Special side lights highlight the constellation maps: blue light for the mythological figures and their names; red light for the modern constellation figures, as well as locations and names of constellations, stars, and deep-sky objects; use the red and blue lights together to see them all at once.
Includes a detailed user's guide, plus a full-color, 42-page "Navigating The Universe" publication. Includes two button batteries for the LCD display, but the three AAA batteries also required are not included.
