Answer: 
Thank you for your question. The BTU for the Portable Shop Heater is 13,700. The wattage is 4000 watts, so using the standard 10 watts per square foot rule (applied for most applications with a roof up to 10' high) this heater can easily heat an area 400 square feet. You will feel heat from this heater in a larger room, but 10 watts per square foot is the standard for heating an area completely.

Answer: 
Thank you for your question. If the power goes out, the Portable Shop Heater will restart automatically. The only time it needs a manual reset is when there is an over-heat (unsafe) condition. That will require a manual override so that the unsafe condition can be remedied….ie a towel or cloth over the heater, something clogging up the fan…etc.
