Poolkeeper® Water Level Sensor 5 5 1 1
Does what it's supposed to do I'm on my third one of these. They last about 5-7 years which is reasonable considering that they are outdoors and half embedded in chlorinated water 24/7. They do the job of keeping the water level correct so you don't burn out your pump motor. I've read other reviewers complain that sometimes the valve doesn't shut and they end up with an overflow and a large water bill. I avoid that problem by not opening the faucet all the way -- I leave it almost shut so the open-loop water flow is just a bit more than you'd expect from evaporation. That way, if the valve fails, you only get a minimal overflow that you'll eventually figure out the next time you look at the pool. September 18, 2013
