Rated 5 out of 5 by The End of Re-Screening Between cats and toddler Great-Grandchildren, my deck sliding screen door gets a lot of use and abuse. I have re-screened it almost yearly. I think I'm done with that with this screen replacement. Good quality product. Did have to "press" it prior to installation as per other reviews. Barring a major catastrophe, I'm looking forward to one less annual "project" and more deck time! June 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product We purchased this screening at least 2 years ago maybe 3. we have a 70 lb yellow lab and she has still not been able to tear this screen. She jumps on this screen numerous times a day. The screen is darker and not as sheer as a normal screen if looks are important to you. We have chosen to replace the screening this year as it has some small holes in it. Stil functional but we are concerned she may catch her nails in one of the small holes and hurt herself. I would definately recommend this product April 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by sturdy Love this product. Have had some in the past that tear easily. I have a large dog and 2 cats. This is remarkable. Has not shown any sign of wear and my cat has literally climbed it. Will buy more for the other doors. August 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Installation This screen was pretty easy to install. I had never done a screen installation before, but it went together just like the instructions said. When the screen came, it was folded so it had some creases in it. I took a lightly warmed iron and a wet washcloth and ironed/steamed the screen before installation. I then rolled it until I was ready to put it in. Worked great!. No creases and it allowed me to get the screen taut. I would recommend this screen for people with animals. April 21, 2012

My home owners association rejected my request for a traditional screen door because it would require an outside frame/mount. I'm trying to find a solution that I can use inside my front door (36" wide opening).
Ideas:
- a framed screen that can be modified to hang in place
- a retractable screen that operates like a window shade: top to bottom, OR side to side

I need it to be secure on the sides so my cats cannot get out. I'm thinking some kind of strong velcro would work.

This kit sounds like I might be able to try out one of these ideas.
If you have a better solution, please let me know!
Thanks.
