Electric Heated Walkway Mat 4.5 5 13 13
Working great in 4th year I purchased mats and controls 4 years ago. I replaced a control uner warranty at beginning of 2nd year. Other than that, they have worked like a champ and taken away an ice problem on my front stoop just as I had purchased them for. I have recommended to friends and believe, while expensive, they are still a good value. January 12, 2015
Great product. I am very happy with this product. I wish I had gotten one of these long ago. Thought the price was a little high but we look at It as a great investment. Will be getting another to be ready for next winter. My husband and I are very satisfied with our purchase. March 14, 2015
Heated stair tread mat We bought this for my in-laws for Christmas. I think it was a great investment! They are thrilled with it. High quality, easy to put in. Great service when I called for questions! January 27, 2012
FREEZING rain is no big deal anymore! We have a ramp that we use all the time to get to driveway from our porch and the steeper part is always a "fear" for me of slipping! We got these mats and they are easy to lay down and easy to plug in. Consumer's Reports says they are very cheap to run don't consume much electricity! They keep our ramp completely free of any freezing rain, ice or snow. It's a win win deal except we do feel the price of product is high side! September 9, 2012

My solution would require 5 different mats. Does each mat come with a connector cable or do I need to order 1 control unit and then 4 connector cables?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Each mat comes with a 4" connector. As you are connecting mats to mats, the 4" may be enough for your needs. If you want to place the mats more than 4" apart you will need to purchase an additional 20" or 25' connector. You only need one control unit to connect the 5 mats.

I have an L-shaped stair way and would like to heat maybe 5 or 6 steps. Could you let me know what electrical items I'll need. Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The stair treads come with a 20" connector. You can connect up to 15 treads to each other. If the 20" isn't long enough for your step height, you can purchase another 20" connector cable. You will need one control unit to connect 15 treads.
