Outdoor Curtain Rod 28-52" 4.7 5 50 50
Attractive and sturdy I used these rods in my covered porch area off our master suite. They are attractive, assembled easily and handle the weight of four outdoor drapes on each fully extended rod. October 24, 2011
Outdoor Curtain Rod I was looking for a curtain rod which was suitable for outdoor use. This rod looks great, was easy to install and was a good value. It has been used for only a few days so it is too early to determine it's durability, and if it doesn't show any effects of the weather it will be a great purchase. March 29, 2012
Curtain rods i purchased exterior curtain rods for an outside pergola, they are quality rods with mounting option hardware. i am very pleased with the look and easy installation.. April 24, 2012
Outdoor Drapery Rods These rods look great. We had to use two rods for the length of our deck and they fit together perfectly with the flat finial. May 4, 2012

Answer:
The bracket is shaped like a very large " J ". The "top" of the "J" is T'd and mounts to the ceiling. It is "a hair" over 3 inches from where the bracket mounts to the ceiling to where the rod "sits on" the bracket. The rod that holds the draperies is 7/8 inch in diameter.

Answer:
The brackets would fall below your ceiling about 2 1/2 inches. You get 3 brackets in each package to strengthen the center when extending the rod. The outdoor curtains I recommended look great(kind of a linen look) but for outdoors weather.

Answer:
Distance from back of bracket (which would be screwed to the wall) to the center of the hook (where the rod would hang) is 2 1/2 inches.

Can you put an extension on the rods?

On my patio, I have 5 different places for the outdoor curtains. One of them is approximately 140 inches wide. Can you put extensions on these rods so that they will work in the space?

Thank you.

Thank you for your question.
Improvements does not sell outdoor extension rods separately, however to cover the 140" wide space you mentioned, please purchase the 100"-144" rod, item # 392927 and this will provide for your needs.
The 52"-100" rod, item # 392919 and the 100"-144" rod, item # 392927 above comes with a middle extended rod to provide for the extra widths our consumers may need.

Distance between screws

What is the distance between the screw holes on the mount? I already have 2 holes with half inch gap in the metal window panels and would not like to make new holes.

Also, can I get an extra mount with a 144" order? I can pay extra.

Thank you for your question.
If using the 'hook' mount the distance is 7/8" if using the 'side' mount the distance is 1-1/2". This was measured from the outer center of the screw holes on each mount.

We are sorry but Improvements does not sell the mounts separately.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.
The end rods in each set are capped inside and therefore cannot be adjoined to make them longer. We will take your inquiry into consideration. Whenever you extend a rod longer than 144" it gets into custom sizing.
