Less Than Perfect The Outdoor Bard Control Birdhouse is cute but not effective. It just doesn't seem to work. I was very d isappointed. Wish I had a better review. Hope my nest purchase will have better results. Thanks, Muriel Horton July 20, 2012

not so great When we received this item, it was defective. The screw that we had to remove to put the battery in was stripped. We had to improvise to get it to work, rather that send it back for $8 postage. I think it works OK, but not perfect. July 10, 2012

Outdoor Bark control Birdhouse Birdhouse Bark control does the trick. Needs to be placed away from the house. My dogs became petrified to come in. I had to pick them up and carry them back in and then they were afraid to go out. They just didn't want anything to do with the porch. I put it on the lowest tone and works instantly. Attractive accent in between my plants. July 7, 2012

Broken Bark stopper Product arrived with top hook broken off. Decided it wasn't as important as quieting the neighbors dogs. Inserted battery and placed on back porch. It worked, partially, for a couple hours then ceased completely. Now it is a pile of trash headed to the curb. Not even worth the effort to return. July 6, 2012

Just wanted I was looking for! We foster dogs, so we are always having to train a dog in our house. This is helping out tremendously! Usually, when the door bell rings, the foster dogs go crazy.....now with this they don't bark and people aren't afraid to come in the door. I am ordering another one for the backyard. June 29, 2012

Dog still barking I bought the 9 volt battery and placed the birdhouse on the patio right in front of my dog....dog still barks! I took it to the neighbor and placed it 5 feet from their barking dog. Didn't phase the dog at all. The red light goes on when it detects noise but I think that is all the birdhouse does. Is there really a device that emits a high pitched noise to stop the dog from barking? June 26, 2012

Not worth it!! I am a very cautious person when it comes to buying anything online without first seeing some of the honest opinions of other people, my wife wanted to really try it since her dad had gotten this item too and to his words it "works" for him. Well at first it did work, our dog did get scared by the noise but it seems that after a while she got used to the noise and also the gadget seemed to be doing some kind of short circuit. I kept seeing all those bad reviews but my wife insisted and now I was able to convince her to return the stupid thing. Never again will she doubt me on anything that we purchase online without seeing the reviews first. I will be sending the thing as soon as possible. June 21, 2012

very disappointing It is disappointing that this company would continue to sell a product that has continually been found not to work. The minute I put the battery in, there was no red light indicating it was working. Upon moving the item, the red light would come on randomly, with the high pitch sound lasting only momentarily. I saw previous reviews saying it did not work, but there were also positive reviews. it was one of two items that nicely used up my reward $ from a previous purchase, so I took my chances. I do no wish to spend more on S&H to return it, which would make my cost both directions half the cost of the item. So I am getting little reward from your offer earlier this year. May 22, 2012

I should have believed the reviews I was hoping this Bird House Bark Buster would help keep the dogs quiet. Did not work at all, I even changed the batteries twice. A true waste of money. And to add the birds in the yard don't even like the looks of the Bark Buster. I would rate it at a minus minus poor. May 18, 2012

broken I received my birdhouse that repels dogs barking. I love the whole concept of what it does and was very excited about receiving it. When I placed the batteries in, it did not work. The light goes on and off and I think the wires are loose, so it does not work. I cannot find my receipt and cannot return it. Could you please send another one and then I can return the original. So far not effective My husband and I live in a townhouse. We were waiting with anticipation the arrival of the Outdoor Bark Control Birdhouse because we have a major problem with the neighbor's barking dogs. Three small ones (one a Jack Russell) that she keeps on her back porch right next to ours. We have had the birdhouse for two weeks and so far it hasn't helped at all. March 27, 2012

Dont Buy After paying taxes, shipping and handling this product cost over $50.00 and it does not work at all, very very disapointing. im suprised know one else has expressed this same complaint. March 21, 2012

This product does not work We wanted something to help control the barking of our little dogs inside the house. This seemed to be the answer. But it never worked. We put in one, then another fresh battery but it did not work with either one. I am very disappointed. February 1, 2012

Poor Quality - Did not work This item did not work at all. I installed the battery as instructed and the little light on the front does not come on. The battery is difficult (at best) to install and something's just not quite right with the battery connection. Also, it's very cheaply made.....cheap plastic and doesn't seem durable for outdoors. I have returned and am so disappointed because it was my first order from your company. I won't order again. January 24, 2012

Finally....silence! I'm amazed. My husband and I had just about given up on our 3 dogs' barking when they went outside, but with just one of these bark control units, the barking has cut way back. I'm ordering 3 more to place in other parts of the yard that are trouble spots and I'm looking forward to a much quieter spring and summer. January 21, 2012

Not so great! The only thing this contraption did was scare my Great Dane so he wouldn't come near the house. We have 7 dogs and sometimes, yes, sometimes, they all decide to bark at the same time. You can imagine the ruckus! I decided to try this cute little birdhouse anti-bark thingy, REALLY hoping this would deter my dogs from barking...but alas...it did not. Not only does our Great Dane stay away from the house, but the other dogs continue to bark. I would suggest a different option for bark control. AND, I will be sending it back to Improvements today.
