I'd been considering building a screen to hide our AC unit on our patio but found this four-panel screen from Improvements. I'm pretty handy building things but honestly did not believe I could build one any better than this screen for the price. The screen arrived, I assembled it, and it's just what we wanted. Beautifully designed and constructed.

This is the second time I've purchased this screen. I had one at my old house, and forgot to bring it when we moved - but I liked it so much I bought another! It is truly lovely, very high quality, and pretty durable. It hides my ac unit and trash cans perfectly. Pretty easy to put together, just takes some time to get the brackets screwed in correctly. My only complaint is that this time I have 3 of the 4 in a straight line with the 4th at a 90 degree angle, and it has fallen over in a rain storm. I am using the ground stakes, but they don't seem to add enough stability. I have added a line to the deck that supports it, so it's fine now, but if you were planning on having them all in a straight line I don't think it would be stable. Other than that, it is perfect, and definitely the best looking screen out there!

This screen is the best looking one I've seen, and it is very versatile. My only complaint ( and I knew this when I bought it) is that it requires additional work to stabilize it. The stakes provided aren't substantial enough to hold it up in dirt. I'll be sinking 4 x 6 pressure treated Douglas fir into the soil first and then screwing the screen into the wood.

The first six months I had this fence I loved it. It is easy to put together and really made a nice privacy screen for my patio. I especially loved the richness of the color and it blended well with the color of the stones on my patio.
However after one winter outside, last summer I had to waterproof the entire product to bring back much of the color. It took me over 2 hours to diligantly waterproof 4 panels and I swore I would never do that again. Now after two years of owning this product, my sense is that I will have to re-waterproof the item again if I plan to keep it beyound this season.
I have included a picture to show what the product looks like today.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
