Microwave Oven Shelf Bracket 4.9 5 45 45
Over-The-Stove Microwave Oven Shelf I had to talk my husband into this, but even he is glad I did! We have an incredibly small kitchen. Counter top space is precious, and the microwave was eating up a big chunk of real estate. This shelf allows us to use dead space above the stove. It was fairly easy to put together, but definitely takes TWO people. Take your time; read the instructions well to make sure you know how the deflector attaches. Once you can visualize it, it goes together fast. Oh, and take a look at your microwave BEFORE you do anything. There is a small safety cable that has to be screwed into the back of the microwave and into the top of the new shelf. If you figure out where that cable will go FIRST, you'll save yourself a headache. Attach the cable to the new shelf before you finish assembly. If you don't, you have to unscrew a piece that is not easy to put back together. It takes a strong set of arms to gently spread the two sides apart to position onto the stove. It has to be tight to be stable, but it's not a job for someone without a little upper body strength. It's a sturdy, practical shelf! I am thrilled with reclaiming the counter space once occupied by my microwave. I now have one less reason to hate my kitchen. August 27, 2014
Amazing! I've waited 30 years to get the microwave off my counter. We like the height -- it doesn't make the microwave so high above the stove. It's sturdy and it went onto the stove easily. I'm glad I found this product. August 15, 2014
very good alternative to over range microwave Looks good, matches stove features, much more reasonable then having to purchase an over the range microwave. Particularly good when you have no cabinets to attach over the range microwave. July 9, 2014
love it I've been looking for a space for my microwave and this is perfect April 29, 2014

Answer:
I don't know what the cart manufacturer's standard is, so I cannot answer that question. 80 pounds seems heavy for a microwave. Is the microwave larger than the size of the cart, too? The residential counter top microwaves we have owned would have certainly fit and stayed on this cart without question.

What about a Range Hood Light

Our stove has a range hood with a light above it, but I only use a 40 watt incandescent light bulb with a plastic cover and it barely throws heat. I like to have this light on all the time.
There would be about 2 inches between the top of the micro and the light.
However, it's a small microwave, and if I push it all the way to the back, I think the light might be partly in front of the micro, 2 inches above it.
Will this harm the microwave?

Thank you for your response.
We never turn on the exhaust fan on the stove - I don't cook enough to use it - I never fry, for sure. (We also never use the dishwasher or the garbage disposal - we are so old fashioned). So perhaps it might work. We'll think about it - thanks for the tip, though.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using the Microwave Shelf Bracket that close to the range hood, as it will not properly exhaust the stove.

Does this bracket fit on a curved edge?

I have a Frigidaire range. The edges are curved. Will this fit? Also, what prevents scratches on the surface. I'm renting and want to be sure not to do any damage.

Thanks! This item looks like the perfect solution to a tiny kitchen.

I have a Gibson stove and the side edges are curved and it fit perfectly. The shelf brackets did not scratch the stove's side edges when we attached it to the stove.

Answer:
Thank you for your questions. As long as the edge is up to 7/8", the Microwave Oven Bracket will fit. The porcelain finish resists scratches.

I have a cabinet on the wall, right above where the stove is. Will there be enough space in between to place the microwave?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. I do not know how much space you have.. Measure the space between your stove and cabinet, then measure the height of your microwave. Since the Shelf sits 15" above the stove, add the height of your microwave to the height of the shelf, then you will know how much clearance you will have.
