Microwave Oven Shelf Bracket 4.9 5 46 46
great counter top spacer my kitchen is very large but I do not have that many counter top space the over stove shelf bracket made an increable difference in my kitchen and I am so have the the extra counter space I have now October 5, 2011
Just What My Kitchen Needed I was considering putting a microwave shelf above my stove which would have required finding the studs, drilling, mounting, and finding the shelving in the right size--in other words a pain in the behind project. Once put together, which was a bit difficult alone but would have been easy with help, the shelf looks like part of my range, not a separate add-on. In fact, the shelf looks like it belongs in my 1940's kitchen. I'm very happy to have the counter space for other items. The shelf is wide enough so that I have room next the microwave for my small spice cabinet. The shelf is made from the same metal and coating as my stove so you know it's a quality product. The only issue I have with it is obvious. There isn't a lot of light that reaches my stove top because the microwave and shelf is blocking it. Sometimes I feel light I'm cooking in the dark. Answer:
I don't know what the cart manufacturer's standard is, so I cannot answer that question. 80 pounds seems heavy for a microwave. Is the microwave larger than the size of the cart, too? The residential counter top microwaves we have owned would have certainly fit and stayed on this cart without question.

Does this bracket fit on a curved edge?

I have a Frigidaire range. The edges are curved. Will this fit? Also, what prevents scratches on the surface. I'm renting and want to be sure not to do any damage.

Thanks! This item looks like the perfect solution to a tiny kitchen.

Answer:
I have a Gibson stove and the side edges are curved and it fit perfectly. The shelf brackets did not scratch the stove's side edges when we attached it to the stove.

Answer:
Thank you for your questions. As long as the edge is up to 7/8", the Microwave Oven Bracket will fit. The porcelain finish resists scratches.

What about a Range Hood Light

Our stove has a range hood with a light above it, but I only use a 40 watt incandescent light bulb with a plastic cover and it barely throws heat. I like to have this light on all the time.
There would be about 2 inches between the top of the micro and the light.
However, it's a small microwave, and if I push it all the way to the back, I think the light might be partly in front of the micro, 2 inches above it.
Will this harm the microwave?

Thank you for your response.
We never turn on the exhaust fan on the stove - I don't cook enough to use it - I never fry, for sure. (We also never use the dishwasher or the garbage disposal - we are so old fashioned). So perhaps it might work. We'll think about it - thanks for the tip, though.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using the Microwave Shelf Bracket that close to the range hood, as it will not properly exhaust the stove.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. I do not know how much space you have.. Measure the space between your stove and cabinet, then measure the height of your microwave. Since the Shelf sits 15" above the stove, add the height of your microwave to the height of the shelf, then you will know how much clearance you will have.
