Metal Leaves Whirlygig Wind Spinner 2.4 5 9 9
Doesn't spin This spinner looks lovely in the yard but does not spin when the wind blows. It is very nice looking so we will keep it as a decoration but we were disappointed that it does not catch the wind and spin. If you are looking for a decorative piece that brightens up your yard, I would highly recommend it. If you are looking for a spinner, choose something else. October 17, 2014
Won't spin No matter how the wind blows, or what direction I point it, this whirlygig won't spin. I'm afraid to bend the arms, in case they break off. Wish I knew what to do. It's very attractive in the yard, just wish it would spin. September 1, 2014
Invest in a much better one It sure looks nice in the catalog and even taking it out of the well wrapped box BUT it is very cheaply made. You do have to adjust the 'leaves' to allow it to catch the wind. The challenge is the nut that secures the Whirlygig to the shaft; it is hidden in the center and has very poor threads. The first evening it was outside it never turned. We had 15-20 MPH gust and it just sat there, so the next day I followed the directions and (be very carefull) adjusted the leaves to make them fan out and catch more wind. It was still like an out of balanced tire and turned to the heavy side after a spin. Then this week I found the Whirlygig on the ground. After examining it I saw the shaft behind the treads was where it had broken off. There's no way it was worth re-threading the shaft because the nut inside was stripped as well. It now hangs in the tree from a string and I believe the birds chuckle as they watch it try to swing around in the breese. As it's only decorated on one side it probably will not remain in the tree for the summer. May 2, 2014
Not worth the money This wind spinner does not spin; it bends easily; it is flimsy; it is not worth the money. If you want a "stationary" wind spinner then this is for you. If you want it to spin in the wind, then don't waste your time. July 23, 2014
Metal Leaves Whirlygig Wind Spinner I was so excited to find two different wind spinners in Improvements catalog! We assembly them in minutes and placed them in the yard. The next day was windy and were excited to see the spinners! BAD news. . . no matter what direction we placed them at the spinners did not spin. We sadly returned them. This won't keep us from purchasing again from Improvements. August 21, 2014
