Litter box is small. It could be deeper. We have large cats and the one cat urinates above the rim of the box. We solved this problem by making a 3-sided, removable, splash guard. The splash guard fits inside of the blue litter box and comes right out for cleaning. Problem solved! Also, we had to put the litter box house inside a shallow tray to contain litter scatter. Another problem solved. After we made all of our modifications, we are now quite pleased with the Litter Box House. We do wish, however, that we could somehow just lift off the roof to access the litter box to scoop it out--removing the entire house body seems a bit much. We're still working on a "fix" for this problem. If you have a solution for this, please let us know!!!

This is not one of the quality products that I am used to receiving from Improvements. When I received this several pieces were broken. The hard plastic is unwieldy and awkward to manipulate when cleaning. Unfortunately the whole thing feels fragile.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
